KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY HELD A METHODICAL SEMNINAR ON THE TOPIC: “TRANSLATION OF THE KAZAKH ALPHABET INTO LATIN GRAPHICS: SPELLING PROBLEMS»
On May 16, Karaganda state industrial university held a methodical seminar on the topic: “Translation of the Kazakh alphabet into Latin graphics: problems of spelling”.
The seminar was attended by members of the working group of the spelling Department of the National Commission for the translation of the Kazakh alphabet into Latin graphics under the government of Kazakhstan, Professor of the Eurasian national University named after.L. N. Gumilyova, doctor of Philology Zhakupov Zhantas Altayevich and scientific consultant of the Academy A. Baitursynova, doctoral student of the Eurasian national university. Named after L. N. Gumilyova Amandykov Olzhas Meiramovich.
The participants of the seminar were the teaching staff of the university, teachers of the Kazakh language and literature of schools, colleges of Temirtau city.
Professor Zhakupov Zh. A, who gave a lecture on the general issues of transition to the Latin alphabet, scientifically and theoretically explaining some controversial issues, elaborated on the upcoming tasks and mechanisms of its implementation. In addition, noting some gaps related to syntax in school textbooks, he stressed the problems that should be taken into account in his teaching.
Doctoral student Amandykov O. M., who spoke on specific issues of the transition of the Kazakh alphabet to Latin graphics, stopped at the ways of rapid reading and writing of the text written in Latin script, explained the spelling of words entered from a foreign language. Then the participants of the seminar performed practical work on writing and reading texts written in Latin script. The questions asked were answered.
During the seminar, head of the Department of “Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages”, candidate of philological Sciences, associate Professor Nurzia Abdikarimovna made a presentation of the textbook “Kazakh tili” for specialties of technical direction of universities. In turn, N. Abdikarimovna noted that this textbook is the result of 8 years of work experience and is developed and supplemented by the 2nd edition. She also thanked her teacher of science organized by Gantas Altaevich for the fact that he witnessed the ceremony.
At the end of the seminar, on behalf of the rector of KSIU Zhautikov Bakhyt Akhatovich, the guests of the seminar were awarded letters of thanks and certificates to the seminar participants.
