Twenty students of the Karaganda State Industrial University, led by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Construction, Kapasheva Zhaniya Kudaibergenovna, took part in the two-day seminar-training “Ideas that change the world” for the study of conceptual ideas and global initiatives of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation N. A. Nazarbayev.

The program of the seminar-training, which took place on October 11-12 in the library of the First President of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation, included training sessions and cultural events in Astana. The students of the KGIU from among the students, active workers and talented youth went on a trip. This was a kind of reward to them for their achievements in various fields of activity. Students of Kokshetau State University took part in the seminar-training together with them.

The lecture material was completely devoted to the theme “The Kazakhstan way: Eternal Country”. Students actively participated in the discussion of absolutely all issues and in practical exercises, exchanged opinions, told how they see the future and how they plan to live in the present. As all the participants of the training seminar note, important information was given before in an easy form, presented in a simple, understandable language, that I wanted to listen again and again, and there was absolutely no desire to go home after two days. Lectures were read by leading teachers of the Eurasian National University named after Gumilev, doctors of philosophical, historical and economic sciences, as well as well-known teachers and professors of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Having received the basic knowledge, the children will now share them in meetings with students and teachers, become participants in regional seminars, carrying the President’s ideas to the masses.

Students of KGIU, who took part in the training seminar, are still overwhelmed with emotions. Here are just a few of their statements, giving an idea of what was happening:

“Sergey Hegai, 2 year: – I was inspired by the professionalism and level of knowledge of the lecturers who speak before us. At some points I wanted to applaud them. Personally, I made a lot of new things from this trip ”

“Darina Nakupova, 2 year: – In a practical lesson, working in small groups, we proudly told students from Kokshetau that Temirtau is the city of the President, our university and cooperation with the metallurgical plant. Do not describe in words all the emotions that we have mastered. ”

After serious lectures for the young guests of the capital, excursions were organized to the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

After summarizing the seminar-training followed by the solemn delivery of certificates and a group photo for memory. Each participant was awarded the book “Our President”, where on the first page, addressed specifically to each term, signed by M. Kasymbekov, the head of the Office of the President of the RK, acting director of the library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation, it is said: “Having a high-quality education, be highly qualified a specialist and a worthy citizen of his country! I wish you great success and a bright future! “.

On October 12, the university hosted a seminar on the issue of the transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin script. This issue is the most discussed in society today.

The seminar was attended by invited experts: Candidate of Philology, Professor Sembiev Kurmangazy Zikiruly, Chief Methodist of the Regional Center for the Study of Languages Zhakarova Zhupar Ryskulkyzy, Chief Specialist of the Department of Culture and Language Development in Temirtau Olzhabaeva Gulmira Serikovna, Director of the Center for Language Studies in Temirtau Akhmetzhanova Meruert Bagdatovna, the chairman of the “Kazakh tili” society Smagulov Tleuberdy and 300 teachers and students of the KGIU.

During the seminar, the mechanisms for a phased transition to the Latin alphabet were explained, variants of the proposed alphabets were explored, and questions were answered to all questions of interest to the audience.

In turn, the teachers and students of the KGIU unanimously supported the idea of switching to the Latin alphabet.

“The staff of the Karaganda State Industrial University fully supports this initiative, and we want to note that the transition to the Latin schedule will not only modernize the Kazakh language, but also reveal all its priceless wealth accumulated over the centuries. The transition to the Latin alphabet is not a matter of one day, as it is necessary to begin training for the teaching of the new alphabet and the preparation of textbooks. A lot of work in the direction of accelerated integration into the world scientific, educational, communication space. Volunteer club “Kamkor” of Karaganda state industrial university is recognized as one of the best volunteer organizations of the city. At the recent Forum of Volunteers, the head of the club Abilhasymova Aygerim received a letter of thanks from the deputy akim of the city Yesimkhanov D.Zh.

In the opinion of the organizers of the Forum, KGIU students take an active part in the development of the volunteer movement in Temirtau. Volunteers of our university regularly hold charitable events for the children of the children’s home “Ainalaiyn”, the Center for Adaptation of Minors, the House of Mercy, participate in the action “Road to School”, helping to collect children from low-income families in school.

For 4 years, the “Kamkor” club is run by a 4th year student Abilhasymova Aigerim, she is not indifferent to the problems of socially vulnerable categories, so the thank-you letter of the city akimat for her was a very pleasant surprise.

For today “Kamkor” club unites over 40 students of our university. In turn, we want to say: Volunteer to be very honorable!
