Metallurgist’s day is celebrated in Kazakhstan on the third Sunday of July.

To participate in the competition, you must submit the following documents:

1. Application addressed to the rector.
2. Personal sheet on personnel accounting (3 photos).
3. Autobiography.
4. Copies of diplomas of higher education and academic degree, certificate of academic rank, notarized.
5. Copies of certificates of retraining and advanced training (if available) and originals for verification.
6. List of scientific papers and inventions (if available).
7. Medical certificate in the form no. 086 approved by the order of the acting minister of health of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 23, 2010 no. 907 (registered in the register of state registration of regulatory legal acts for no. 6697)
8. Certificate on the presence or absence of information on records issued by the committee on legal statistics and special records of the general prosecutor’s office of the republic of kazakhstan on the commission of a criminal offense by a person.
9. Presentation of the subjects that the participant of the competition for vacant positions of teaching staff is applying for (in electronic form, no more than 10 slides,)
10. Additional information related to education, work experience, professional level (recommendations from the management of the previous place of work, etc.).

Our University owes its history to N. A. Nazarbayev. In February 1962, at the X Congress of the LKSM of Kazakhstan, the youth leader Nursultan Nazarbayev said ” … Komsomol members and young people of Temirtau have long wanted to have a vtuz plant in their city…”. And in 1963, an independent University was opened in our city, and in 1967, Nursultan Abishevich finished our plant-vtuz with the defense of the diploma project for the assessment “excellent” with the assignment of the qualification “engineer-Metallurgist”.

The staff of teachers and students of KGIU always feels the real support of our outstanding graduate. In 2001, on the 10th anniversary of Independence of our country, a new educational and laboratory building of KGIU was opened, which became a gift from Elbasy to his native Alma mater.
