The international online round table led by the Governor of Karaganda region Zhenis Kasymbek was held on July 3 on the Zoom platform. The event dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Magnitogorsk and the 75th anniversary of the city of Temirtau was attended by well-known public figures, scientists, experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations from Russia, Ukraine and different parts of Kazakhstan

All participants of the round table were welcomed by the Governor of the region, Unimaginative: “Today we have gathered for several wonderful reasons. On the eve of the capital day, we also celebrate the 60th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Magnitogorsk-Temirtau metallurgical plant, and the upcoming celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the city of Temirtau. Each of these dates has a great significance in the history of our country. All of them are closely linked, ” he said in his speech.

Karaganda region is the labor and political homeland of our first President. It was here that Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev started his professional career. As he says, Temirtau became his main University. Also, exactly 60 years ago, the first Kazakhstan cast iron was obtained. There were also witnesses of this event among the participants of the round table. In their speeches the supporters of the Nation of Toleutai Skakovich  Suleimenov, Babydolla Sulkashevich Sarekenov reminisced about the years of study and work with President Nursultan Nazarbayev. They noted his boundless talent as an organizer, his intelligence, ambition, and justice.

Oleg Soskovets-a graduate of HEI at KMK, former General Director of the plant, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, and now President of the Association of financial and industrial groups of the Russian Federation, President of the Russian Union of commodity producers, warmly recalled the years of work in Temirtau, told about the first smelting of Kazakhstan’s pig iron. Director of Kamensk higher vocational school in Kamensk (Dneprodzerzhinsk, Ukraine) Neklese Vadim Viktorovich told about the years of study of Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev in Dneprodzerzhinsk, noted that Elbasy stood out among his peers with a huge thirst for knowledge, for excellent studies, he received an increased scholarship.

The rector of KSIU Bakhyt Akhatovich Zhautikov also told about the years of study of Elbasy in HEI: “We value the words of our Elbasy: “With a sense of special pride, I always remember that half a century ago, after graduating from this University, then called HEI, among other graduates, I received a permit for production”, which he addressed to the participants of the IX International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the “Golden” 50th anniversary of the release of 1967-the release of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev,” he said in his speech. The life path of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a bright worthy example for the students of our University, who are proud to get knowledge at the University that Nursultan Abishevich graduated from.

Production Director of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” Vadim Borisovich basin welcomed all participants of the event and told about the anniversary smelting dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s pig iron. On July 3, 1960, at the Karaganda metallurgical plant, the blast furnace issued the first metal – it was an event of the all-Union scale.

At the end of the round table, Zhenis Makhmudovich Kasymbek congratulated all participants of the event on the upcoming day of the capital, wished everyone health.

Cooperation with the leading technical University in Russia is of great importance for KarIU. Establishing links with Bauman Moscow state technical University will lead to positive changes in the educational process.

The main areas of cooperation are: exchange of students, undergraduates, PhD students for training, research, internships; joint conducting of courses and seminars, management of master’s theses; organization of internships for teaching staff, researchers, undergraduates and PhD students at universities.

A mechanism will be developed and interaction of expert and scientific and technical councils will be ensured in assessing the level of training of undergraduates, PhD students, as well as their dissertations; participation in the implementation of joint research in priority areas using the material and technical base of the parties on a mutually acceptable basis.

In the list of main areas of cooperation – creating conditions for training and retraining of personnel that increase innovation activity in the system of education and science, commercialization of research results, joint organization of scientific and practical conferences and seminars, joint participation and development of programs of international cooperation in the field of science and innovative technologies, integration into the world scientific, educational and information systems, development of joint research projects for participation in competitions of international funds and organizations, as well as the organization and conduct of distance learning.

The Memorandum signed between our University and Bauman Moscow state technical University was another important step in the international educational integration of KarIU.
