With the aim of popularizing and promoting the creative heritage of Abay Kunanbayuly, increasing interest in the creative heritage of the great poet, as well as developing the creative abilities and practical skills of students and undergraduates in the field of translation into foreign languages

In October 2020 by the Department of «theory and practice of translation» of the faculty of «Foreign languages» of Karaganda state University. academician E. A. Buketov held an international on — line competition for translations of the sayings of the great Abai Kunanbayuly into foreign languages (English, French, German, Chinese), which was attended by a student of the TFP-20k group of the faculty of Metallurgy and mechanical engineering Bektursun Aidanbek.

The competition determined the winners in four nominations:

1. Translation of sayings of the great Abay Kunanbayuly into foreign languages (from Russian/Kazakh to English),
2. Translation of sayings of the great Abay Kunanbayuly into foreign languages (from Russian/Kazakh to German),
3. Translation of sayings of the great Abay Kunanbayuly into foreign languages (from Russian/Kazakh to Chinese),
4. Translation of sayings of the great Abay Kunanbayuly into foreign languages (from Russian/Kazakh to French).

The contestants had to impress the jury not only the lack of grammatical, stylistic, lexical and other mistakes but also a variety of translation techniques, art saturation transfer, transfer the mood and imagery of the original.

Our student Bektursun Aidanbek translated the FORTY-SECOND WORD from the WORDS of EDIFICATION of the great Abai into Chinese. Aidanbek distinguished by accurately conveying the meaning and style of the original and earned a diploma of the 3rd degree. The scientific supervisor of this work is Nina Akhmetgalina, a teacher of foreign languages at the Department of Kazakh Russian and foreign languages. We wish the student Bektursun Aidanbek and the young teacher N. S. Akhmetgalina further creative success!

The development of educational technologies and scientific research in Karaganda industrial University that meet the modern requirements of the scientific and educational process dictates the timely need to pay special attention to the modernization and development of material and technical equipment of departments and laboratories of the University.

Currently, our university has a modern material and technical base, which is annually updated and updated with new educational and scientific equipment, computer equipment and other basic means, in accordance with the requirements of educational standards.

At the beginning of the current academic year, the material and technical base of the Department of «Natural Sciences of our University» was replenished. The following new laboratory installations were purchased, such as:

1. Study of the external photo effect.

2. Determination of the shear modulus and moment of inertia of the torsional pendulum.

3. Study of light diffraction.

4. Oberbeck’s Pendulum.

5. Installation for determining the horizontal component of the earth’s magnetic field induction.

6. Determination of the ratio of the heat capacity of air at constant pressure and constant volume.

The laboratory unit for studying the external photoelectric effect FPC-10 is designed for conducting laboratory work on the course «Quantum physics» for engineering and technical specialties. The installation allows you to shoot and study the current-voltage characteristics of solar cells in a wide range of light conditions and evaluate the numerical values of the Planck constant.

The FM-21 laboratory unit is designed for conducting laboratory work on the course «Physics», section «Mechanics» in higher educational institutions. The installation allows you to: determine the moments of inertia of solids using torsional vibrations of a unifilar suspension, determine the theoretical values of the moments of inertia of bodies, and determine the experimental values of the moments of inertia of bodies;

Laboratory installation FPV 05-3 is designed for laboratory work on the course of physics section «Optics» for engineering and technical specialties. Provides an opportunity to study the parameters of the diffraction grating using monochromatic radiation of a semiconductor laser.

Using «Oberbeck pendulum FM-14», the laws of rotational motion are studied: determining the theoretical value of the moment of inertia of the cargo system, determining the experimental value of the moment of inertia of the cargo system, determining the relative error of the obtained values, determining the moment of friction forces acting on the pendulum axis.

The laboratory unit for determining the ratio of heat capacity of air at constant pressure and constant volume FPT-1-6N is designed to study the processes occurring in a gas when determining the ratio of heat capacity by the Clement – Desormat method.

Note that the infrastructure KarIU is fully consistent with the nature of activities, realization of educational programs of higher and postgraduate education on credit technology of training, with the use of innovative information technologies, the use of distance learning technology, conduct scientific research in accordance with modern requirements to the educational process.

In 2019, in order to motivate students to study in-depth disciplines, a video laboratory was created at the Department of Construction, headed by Alexey Puzhikhin, a student of the academic group C-18C. In the course of working on video lectures, it turned out that in addition to creating video material, in the process of joint creative work, partnerships between the teacher and students are developed. The students are excellent at searching information, they learn to structure material, to build mis-scenes and much more. Today we recorded an introduction to the online course on construction production Technology 1. On the screen – student Puzhikhin Alexey, teacher Suchilina T. P., removes the work of the laboratory student group C-18C Aladysheva Natalia.

On October 28-29, 2020, students of Karaganda industrial University took an active part in a two-day online training seminar «the Path to the future begins with everyone», organized by the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy of Nur-Sultan.

The event was attended by members of the student club «Sanaly Urpak», excellent students, activists, leaders of the student government of our University.

The webinar program was very rich. Participants of the event listened to lectures of famous scientists-historians, leading researchers of the library of Elbasy: «The Era of Independence. The fourth industrial revolution» by lecturer, candidate of historical Sciences Berdagulova Sagintay Kenesovna, «Rukhani Zhangyru – the way to the future. Seven facets of the great Steppe» by lecturer, PhD Azerbayev Aslan Dybysbekovich. Our students received new, up-to-date information about historically significant events in our country. The students not only listened to lectures, but also had the opportunity to discuss with each other and lecturers. During the training part, students received valuable knowledge and skills that will further strengthen and develop their leadership qualities.

The training seminar «the Path to the future begins with everyone» once again showed the path, the direction in which our state is moving and all of us should move.

Inspired students sincerely thanked the management of the University and the library of Elbasy for the opportunity to participate in the training seminar and get the necessary knowledge and motivation for new heights in their studies and their grandiose projects.

On October 28, 2020, Karaganda industrial University hosted an online intra-University debate tournament, the main theme of which was «the year of youth – as a platform for supporting youth initiatives».

As part of the debate tournament, seven factions took part, consisting of both experienced debaters and newcomers — first-year students of our University who are just beginning to learn the basics of debate.

The event was organized by the Department of educational work and youth policy and the student debate club «Abadan» of KarIU».

It is worth noting that the debate club «Abadan» of «KarIU» is an active participant not only in city, but also regional and Republican debate tournaments, taking prizes.

During the tournament, first-year students showed a decent game and excellent ability to defend their point of view.

According to the results of the game, the seats were distributed as follows:

I place: «Merey» faction, speakers Sagat Merey and seidakhmet Laura.

II place: fraction «Optimus» speakers Abdyrah Nazerke and Ermek Korkem.

III place: a fraction of the «Monster» speakers Sagyndyk Ayaulym and Nurzhan Bekbolat.

In the format «Lincoln – Douglas» best speaker recognized Sagat Merey, the best judge Nashanbay Aruzhan, the best of the young debaters recognized Serikov Meirambek.

Students of our University once again showed a brilliant game, oratorical skills and the ability to discuss.

This is the first debut tournament this season, we are waiting for the continuation of brilliant debate tournaments!
