The event aims to provide students with a broader knowledge of anti-corruption in civil society.

During the school’s week-long work, lectures were held on the following topics: «Review of international experience in the fight against corruption» (Tokushev K. A.-head of the Republican project office «Sanaly urpaq»), «Review of Kazakhstan’s anti-corruption legislation» (Ospanova D. A.-candidate of law, associate Professor head Department of  «Jurisprudence and IL» of the University “Turan»), Applied tools and step-by-step recommendations in the field of anti-corruption» (aralbayeva A. A.- candidate of law, associate Professor head Department of « Jurisprudence and IL » of the University «Turan»), «Real examples of effective anti-corruption cooperation « (Toktybekov T. A. – Ph. D., associate Professor head Department of Law and IL of Turan University), «Strategies that can be used to overcome the negative consequences of corruption»  (Askarova M. M., – LlM., practicing lawyer, arbiter of arbitration «Legal»).

At the end of the event, active participants were awarded certificates and letters of Thanks.

This event is of particular importance in the work of the student club «Sanaly Urpak» of our University, which is a model for ensuring the student’s personal anti-corruption position.

School of integrity

The anti-corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia organized an international online forum on the development and promotion of compliance in Kazakhstan, which was held on October 29. This event was attended by the head of compliance officer of Karaganda industrial University Ilyasov Shamil Amangeldyevich.

The international online forum on the development and promotion of compliance in Kazakhstan was held with the participation of representatives of government agencies and national companies, as well as experts from Russia, the USA, Israel, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Opening the event, first Deputy Chairman of the Agency Olzhas Bektenov noted the importance of combining the efforts of the state, civil society and business in order to strengthen the anti-corruption system in Kazakhstan.

According to him, the anti-corruption Law introduces the Institute of anti-corruption compliance services responsible for compliance with corporate integrity standards in quasi-public sector organizations.

At the end of the event, an agreement was reached to exchange best practices with international experts and develop legislative initiatives to further improve compliance.

Members of the student club «Sanaly Urpak», activists and leaders of the student government of Karaganda industrial University took an active part in the next online lecture «Hour of integrity with three-time world champion in mixed martial arts, professional athlete Ardak Nazarov», organized by the anti-corruption Agency.

The hero of the video lecture started his sports activity in 1991 with the Greco-Roman wrestling section.

Throughout his subsequent career, Ardak Nazarov achieved good results and became a prize-winner at district, regional and national competitions in Greco-Roman wrestling, Jiu-jitsu and pankration, raising the flag of Kazakhstan on the podium of many sports competitions.

During the interview, the famous athlete shared his thoughts on the value of family, unity and mutual respect, encouraging young people to be Patriotic and honest.

As he noted: «A good person is a wise person who has achieved inner perfection and spiritual and moral development, who is able to make the right decisions, and clearly distinguishes the boundaries of black and white»

Ardak Nazarov paid special attention to the need to instill in modern youth a love of reading and self-development.

He attributes all his victories and achievements to hard work, «when other athletes trained 3 times a week, I trained 13 times, when they spent two hours on classes in the morning, I did twice as much», he said.

Today, the world champion is an example for many. At each of his meetings, he encourages young people to work hard to achieve their goals, honor their elders, love their Homeland and adhere to a healthy lifestyle.

Promotion of the ideology of integrity among young people in the framework of the «Hour of integrity» campaign with the involvement of famous personalities of Kazakhstan will continue.

In order to improve the methodological culture and exchange of advanced experience of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Economics and Construction, the Methodological Week is held from November 2 to 6.

Within the framework of the week, seminars, quizzes, round tables with the use of distance learning technologies are planned to be held on the basis of the chairs.

The basis of any scientific research, including doctoral theses, is experimental research based on conducting scientific experiments. At the Department «of metal processing by pressure» of Karaganda industrial University, under the guidance of candidate of technical Sciences, associate Professor Ashkeev Zhasulan Amanzholovich, a young scientist Abishkenov Maksat Zharylgasynovich is actively engaged in scientific activities and conducts his scientific experiments on his doctoral dissertation.

The object of research of the doctoral student is the process of obtaining nanostructured long blanks from metal materials necessary for a number of industries. At this stage, Maksat Zharylgasynovich is conducting experimental studies of the process of all-round compression of metal billets in a closed matrix on a PSU-500 hydraulic press, in order to study changes in the metal microstructure. As our doctoral student noted: «In the future, research is planned to be conducted jointly with scientists from Satbayev University (Almaty) and Czestochowa Polytechnic University (Poland) »

Despite the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic is making its own adjustments in all spheres of human life, including influencing the scientific activities of young scientists, the research team is optimistic about the future prospects for the development of scientific research.
