On April 16, 2021, at the Karaganda Industrial University, a meeting of student youth with a phthisiatrician of the branch of the regional center of phthisiopulmonology in Temirtau Kenzhebaeva Saule Aimanovna was held. The topic of the meeting was «Tuberculosis and its prevention», since at present tuberculosis is one of the most common infectious diseases, characterized by damage to all tissue organs, but most often lungs, a variety of clinical symptoms, and intoxication.

The purpose of the event is to explain to the younger generation the causes and sources of tuberculosis infection, preventive measures, as well as the consequences of this disease for society and individuals.

During the meeting, Saule Aimanovna spoke in detail about the occurrence of the disease and the ways of its transmission. She explained the basic rules for the prevention of tuberculosis, acquainted with the current statistics of morbidity and mortality from it in the city of Temirtau and the Karaganda region.

Our students took an active part and asked questions, to which they received detailed answers from a phthisiatrician.

At the end of the event, Saule Aimanovna Kenzhebaeva wished good health to the participants. She reminded that, like any disease, tuberculosis is easier to prevent than to cure, and careful attention to your health, correct lifestyle, rejection of bad habits and an active life position will help prevent the risk of tuberculosis, summing up the words «Our health is in our hands!»

The event ended with the distribution of information leaflets, memos and booklets dedicated to the prevention of tuberculosis.

In the period from 19.04.2021 to 23.04.2021, the Methodological Week of the faculties “Metallurgy and Materials Science” and “Energy, Transport and Control Systems” starts!

Within the framework of the Week, interesting and informative events are planned:

• master classes!

April 16, 2021 acting Chairman of the Board – Rector of NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University» Bolatbek Serikbaevich Abdrasilov met with representatives of the bibliographic and abstract database Scopus and the publishing house Elsevier.

The guests of the meeting were Bakdaulet Erkhanov – Account Manager in Central Asia and Damir Rakhmetov – Account Manager in Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

The agenda of the meeting included a discussion of the results of the university’s activities over the past period, the publication activity of the teaching staff of the university, as well as a strategy for the further development of the academic environment.

Within the framework of the meeting, issues were discussed aimed at solving the strategic tasks of the development of our university.

Summing up the results of the meeting, the participants expressed their readiness for further cooperation and identified the main directions for the development of bilateral partnership.

On April 15, 2021, a mountain on the platform of the Karaganda Industrial University, a meeting of students of the fuel and energy complex at KarIU with a veteran, Honored Master of Sports of the USSR in weightlifting Iskakov Aitzhan Karmalakovich took place.

The main goals of the event are to popularize physical culture and sports in the student environment, foster patriotism, promote a healthy lifestyle, as well as familiarize students with the achievements of Aitzhan Karmalakovich.

During the event, Aytzhan Karmalakovich told the audience in detail about his sports path, shared his impressions of participation in sports competitions of the international level, the secrets of sports training.  Aitzhan Iskakov said quite a few words of gratitude about his coaches and their role in their sporting success.

Within the framework of the meeting, students of the fuel and energy complex – Victoria Kosenko made a presentation on the topic “The role of physical culture in the life of student youth” and Grabovskaya Vera with a report on the topic “Outstanding athletes of Kazakhstan and the city of Temirtau”.  Students took the stories of the honored sportsman with keen interest.

As a result of the event, our students gained knowledge about the sports field of the highest level, as a result of which their interest and desire to go in for sports increased.  Note also that this meeting influenced the growth of the number of students wishing to engage in physical culture and sports in the sports sections of the university.

The meeting was organized by the teacher of physical education of the TEK Paltseva Evgenia Varfalameevna.

The participants of the project will be awarded the collection “The best student of the CIS”, a special badge (medal) “The best student”, a certificate of merit and diplomas of I, II, III degrees.
