On February 16-17, 2021, hours of integrity were held in all academic groups on the topic «Ibrai Altynsarin – Enlightener of the Great Steppe».

The purpose of the curatorial hour was to acquaint students with the life and work of Ibrai Altynsarin. Ibrai Altynsarin became the founding father of education in the history of the Kazakh steppe, devoting his entire adult life to teaching Kazakh children. Having opened the first public school, he urged residents to send their children to schools and wrote a textbook in Kazakh. On the example of the bright personality of Ibrai Altynsarin, students were demonstrated such human virtues as honesty, decency, incorruptibility.

In order for a society to develop, it is necessary to follow certain principles of integrity. The development of the country is possible only through joint efforts, the contribution of each member of society: from the younger generation to government officials who make important government decisions.

In these conditions, great hope and responsibility are placed on young people, who will have to continue the baton of the creative deeds of the older generation, raise the bar of national competitiveness even higher, and ensure prosperity and world recognition for Kazakhstan in the 21st century.

The homeland begins in the family, where a special personal attitude to their land, its history, culture, people inhabiting it, everyday life and holidays, symbols of the state is formed.

«Integrity is the main principle of life» should be the work of every citizen of Kazakhstan. We have a unique historical chance to live, create, confidently make plans for the future where there are only respectable people.

1nd year students took part in a solemn event «Afghanistan: Tragedy and Valor», dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. The event was organized by the city local history museum of Temirtau. Participation in the event was organized by the head of the department of ANK KarIU Zhanabergenova Dinara Kenesovna and the teacher of the department «Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages» Dariga Hayreddenovna Mendybaeva.

The event is valuable because the exhibits were used in three languages. Educational video material was presented to the students, it was told in detail about the tragedy of those times.

The most significant are personal belongings, uniforms, awards, samples of weapons, documents, memories of relatives and friends, photographs, letters of internationalist warriors from Afghanistan, their stories are written on paper, a reminder of themselves who went through all the circles of hell and fulfilled their duty to the end with valor and honor. According to information from the museum employee Gulim Sekentaevna: 336 residents of the city of metallurgists went through the war in Afghanistan. Nine of them did not return home. For 10 years of war, more than 600 thousand Soviet citizens passed through Afghanistan. More than 22 thousand of them are Kazakhstanis. And the Karaganda region was not spared by the war: about 2 thousand people were sent to fulfill their international duty. During the hostilities, 86 Karaganda residents were killed.

The main thing that the student drew attention to was the «Army Panama» hat of the 1969 model. It was Panama that remained a symbol of the participation of Soviet troops in the Afghan war. The exhibit was given to them by the political officer of the Temirtau military commissariat Vladimir Bodryagin. No one could be left indifferent and heartbreaking stories about the fate of the soldiers – internationalists major Nikiforov I.N., Ishtvanik, A.N., Kalugin A., Litvinov A., Gryaznova V., etc.

This event is aimed at the patriotic education of young people, the formation of an active civic position among students, awareness of the importance of knowledge of languages, the ability to apply the knowledge gained in the lessons of the humanitarian cycle (project activities, creative projects, development of activities, research activities through search work, writing educational research works on museum materials).

Today, February 19, a regular meeting with a representative of the center for the prevention and control of AIDS and other infectious diseases and representatives of the AIDS center of the city of Temirtau with 1-2 year students was held at KarIU

The lecture for the university students was delivered by the AIDS center psychologist Elena Borisovna Starozhukova. In addition to special medical information about the nature and symptoms of the disease, the dangers and ways of contracting AIDS, doctors provided statistics on diseases in the city of Temirtau.

The main objective of the event was to attract the attention of students to the problem of HIV / AIDS, to change their attitude to this problem and to form a value attitude towards their health.

The urgency of the problem of HIV / AIDS lies in the fact that the spread of this epidemic affects all spheres of society and affects each of us. Indeed, in our time AIDS is a global problem for all mankind.

At the end of the meeting, the doctor noted the importance of holding such events with the youth of our university, thanked the leadership of the University for the Opportunity to organize these meetings.

We all know that debate is primarily an intellectual game, which is a special form of discussion where the rules are strictly followed. Debates develop critical and logical thinking, develop communication culture and public speaking skills, prepare for independent decision-making, and contribute to the formation of individuals as future leaders of society.

The main characteristic of the debate is the existence of rules that ensure the collision of opposing points of view. It is necessary not only to make speeches, but also to parry the arguments of the other side, compare your position with the position of your opponents and, thus, convince the judge of your superiority.

Today, debates have begun to take place in schools and universities around the world and are one of the most popular youth activities in Kazakhstan.

The essence of the debate is to convince a neutral third party, the judges, that your arguments are better than those of your opponent. While the essence is simple, the strategies and techniques to achieve the desired result can be complex.

At the Republican level, there are basic formats of debating: Karl Popper format, American – Parliamentary format, British – Parliamentary format, Lincoln-Douglas format.

The main tasks of our debate club:

– the formation of an active citizenship of students of a higher educational institution;

-Training in public speaking and the rules of discussion;

-training to diplomatically resolve controversial situations;

-training to defend your own point of view;

-spiritual and moral development, continuity of knowledge and education of patriotism of a new generation of student youth;

-revealing new ideas for the implementation of state youth policy and priority state programs.

Our club has always been famous for an active lifestyle, in which it is appropriate to alternate intellectual hobby with cultural recreation. This condition predisposes to comfortable communication and readiness to conquer new heights, and overcome difficulties. Perhaps, therefore, it is not surprising that every year our debate club “Abadan” replenishes its ranks with energetic and proactive residents.

Competitions in our university have been held since 2008. This year’s competition took place from 15 to 17 February 2021.

Competitions were held in a circular system in two subgroups. Two teams left the group, which fought for prizes. The games were held in a tough competition, but in a friendly atmosphere. Due to the quarantine, the fans could not actively support their teams, but they were in the gym at heart and supported them remotely.

The best forward of the tournament was Murat Kenzhebaev, student of the group PTSDM-19 K.

During the games, the places were distributed as follows:

1st place was taken by the team “Generation of Miracles”, consisting of Sarsenov Beksultan, Zaynaev Alizhan, Khuzhakeldiev Sherkhan, Kenzhebaev Murat, Sezbekuly Temir, Brazhnikov Artem.

The 2 nd place was taken by the Everest team, for which the third and fourth year students competed.

The 3rd place was taken by the “Arystan” team, which included second-year students.

The judging was carried out by senior students under the guidance of the chief judge of the competition, master of sports Kolesnikova Raisa Kasymovna.

Winners and prize-winners were awarded cups, medals, certificates and valuable prizes.
