At the Karaganda Industrial University, courses are starting to prepare applicants for master’s and doctoral studies for international IELTS testing. In this regard, on February 26, the teachers of the department «Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages» of the Karaganda Industrial University organized and conducted testing among students and teachers of the university for knowledge of English.
Testing was conducted to determine the level of English proficiency for further study in the courses. Carrying out such events helps a person to keep track of what stage of learning English he is at, contributes to constant progress in mastering English and improving language skills.
Today, almost everyone needs English, the language of international communication. Knowledge of English makes it possible to get a decent education. In addition, the official confirmation of a good knowledge of the English language greatly facilitates employment and expands career prospects.
From February 24, 2020, at the Karaganda Industrial University, the curators of student groups for 1-2 year students held a traditional monthly hour of integrity dedicated to the philosophy of justice of Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov.
Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov is a follower of the classical Kazakh literature, founded by the great Abai. In his work, he reflected the topical issues of his time, describing the life of ordinary people in need of education.
Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov devoted his whole life to serving the Motherland and enlightenment: “My goal is to illuminate the path of my people,” he wrote in his works.
His poetry is a school of poetic skill, patriotism and citizenship. And the problems highlighted by the poet have not lost their relevance even today. According to the author, only justice can save people from «quarrels», «human tears» and «bloodshed». Justice is «the key to happiness and strength.»
The words of Sultanmakhmut Toraigyrov should serve as a guide for the growing student generation and will forever remain a testament.
The main purpose of the hour of integrity was also the fostering of an intolerant attitude towards corruption and the formation of an anti-corruption worldview among student youth. Indeed, as world experience shows, the most effective fight against corruption and its prevention is achieved where the role of society in regulation increases, transparency of decisions is ensured and a high anti-corruption culture is formed.
The Hour of Integrity was developed by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which on an ongoing basis carries out work aimed at promoting integrity in society.
