NJSC “Karaganda Industrial University” (hereinafter KIU) announces the competition “BEST SCIENTIFIC AND INNOVATIVE IDEA” (hereinafter – the Competition) for students, undergraduates and students of educational institutions of general, secondary vocational, technical and vocational education.

The competition is aimed at enhancing scientific and technical creativity and professional independence of young people, contributing to improving the quality of scientific potential among students, undergraduates and young scientists for the development of scientific and innovative ideas.

The results of innovative ideas are summed up by the Competition Commission.

Date: April 15, 2021

Scientific works on the following topics are submitted for the competition:

(01) Innovations in the development of metallurgy and metallurgy;

(02) Digitalization, energy of the future and green economy;

(03) Mechanical engineering and transport;

(04) Chemistry, chemical technology and ecology;

(05) Modern physical and mathematical sciences;

(06) Architecture and construction;

(07) Rukhani zhagyru: modernization of public consciousness;

(08) Business development in Kazakhstan.

Anyone wishing to take part in the competition must register on the university website (kgiu.kz) and fill out the application form.

To participate in the competition, you must provide the following materials:

1) A video clip (no more than 5 minutes long), which sets out the content, goals and objectives, the relevance and novelty of research, the main scientific results, their significance and compliance with the international level of science, the prospects for their further use.

2) a brief abstract of the work and the meaning of the results obtained, the signature of the author of the work;

3) a copy of the competitor’s identity card.

Materials for participation in the competition are drawn up and submitted in the state or Russian language.

Works are accepted until April 10, 2021.

Applications are not considered and are not allowed to participate in the competition:

1) do not meet the conditions of the competition;

2) those who entered the competition after the deadline specified in the information message.

Results of the competition. Winner’s reward ceremony

Scientific and innovative ideas that received the largest number of votes according to the results of the examination are recognized as the winners of the competition.

The winners of the Competition are the contestants who took the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places according to the results of scoring, with the assignment of the corresponding diplomas of I, II, III degrees “The best scientific and innovative idea”.

Additional Information:

Conference participants: pupils, students, undergraduates, doctoral students and young scientists. The official languages ​​of the conference are Kazakh, Russian and English. To participate in the conference, scientific research works are allowed, drawn up in the format of reports, corresponding to the topic of the conference and having actual theoretical and practical importance for the development of fundamental and engineering sciences.

The conference will be held in the form of an online broadcast. Anyone wishing to take part in the videoconference must register on the university website (kgiu.kz) and fill out the application form.

Requirements for the design of articles:

• the recommended article volume is up to 5 pages;
• the text of the article must be typed in MS Word;
• font – TimesNewRoman, font size (point size) – 13, line spacing – single, first line indent -0.8 cm, word wrap – automatic;
• A4 paper size; margins: top -2 cm, bottom 2.5 cm, left – 2 cm, right – 2 cm
• the topic of the article in capital letters (highlight in bold), one-spaced information about the speakers and supervisor in lower-case letters, in brackets place of work, city and country in lower-case letters, then two-spaced text;
• materials must be submitted electronically;
• pages are numbered.

Drawings must be of good quality and must have names. The letter designations given in the figures must be explained in the text below.

Formulas, as well as designations in the text of the article, must be typed in the editor of formulas Microsoft Equation or Math Type. The size of the main font of formulas is 11 pt. Interpretation of designations in the formula is mandatory with indication of units of measurement in accordance with the International System of Units SI.

Literature references in the text are numbered in the order of mention, a list of references is given at the end of the article. References to literature are marked with Arabic numerals in square brackets. In the case of repeated reference to the same source, it is indicated in the list of references once. If the number of authors of the work is not more than 4, then indicate all authors; in the case of a larger number of authors, indicate the first three, then indicate “etc.”

The text is not subject to editing, therefore all materials must be designed in accordance with the requirements and carefully edited. Materials that do not meet the above requirements are not considered and will not be sent back.

March 10, 2021 teachers of the Department of Economics and Business and students of KarIU took part in the online lecture “External and internal environment of business”, conducted by the senior teacher of the Department of Economics of the Azerbaijan State Economic University Sevda Mammadova. Within the framework of the lecture, the participants talked about the models of building a business, the factors influencing the conduct of business, discussed the conditions for the production and sale of products.

This event was held by the project office of international cooperation and development of the Astrakhan State University.

In 2020, Astrakhan State University launched the International Online Against COVID-19 project. The main goal of the project is to support international academic cooperation between partner universities in the difficult period of the coronavirus pandemic, create a single international educational space and help maintain student motivation to study. Our university has been cooperating with ASU for many years. The essence of the project is that students and teachers of ASU and foreign partner universities participate in joint lectures, webinars, discussion platforms and remote meetings on the Leader-ID platform of the ASU Boiling Point Center.

Such online meetings can be either one-time or represent a series of lectures, webinars on one topic. Topics for discussion correspond to current scientific research and educational trajectories of partner universities, are interesting to both students and teachers.

The coronavirus pandemic turned out to be a difficult test for the international community: the global international space was again divided. Such meetings help us to become a part of the International Online Against COVID-19 project and to “open up” the borders between our countries!

This meeting was attended by over 50 students and teachers of partner universities from Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Iran, Italy and France.

One of the important components in the infrastructure of the Karaganda Industrial University is a scientific library.

The main tasks of the scientific library in the educational activities of the university are: operational, complete library and information and bibliographic services for students and university staff and the formation of a library fund in accordance with educational programs.

The university library fund is annually replenished with educational, methodological and scientific literature to help students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers. In this regard, the university faces a serious task – to provide all students with the necessary literature not only in the state language, but also in Russian and English. Educational and scientific literature is purchased both in the traditional format (printed books) and on digital media. The library fund is replenished at the expense of the state purchase and publication of the works of our teachers in our own printing house.

Library staff are actively working on the recommendation and advertising of new acquisitions in the library fund. To do this, on the site of KarIU, as new receipts, the newsletter «New Literature» is laid out, a review of scientific and technical journals is done once a month. Open book views, Specialist Days, Department Day are held. In recent years, for the convenience of teachers and students, we have posted photo exhibitions, photo reports of new arrivals on the KarIU website.

But one of the most widespread and effective forms of book advertising remains the traditional book exhibition. This form allows the reader to get directly acquainted with the new literature.

To help the curriculum, permanent book exhibitions are organized on the subscription of the scientific library and in the reading room: «Education and Career of the XXI Century», «To Help the Student», «New Literature», «Works of KIU Teachers», which are regularly updated. All book exhibitions are designed in 3 languages.

Since January 2021, the scientific library has been organizing a cycle of book exhibitions and thematic shelves «New Literature to Help the Curriculum». They will showcase books received by the library last year. In January of this year, the Department of Power Engineering got acquainted with the novelties in its specialty, in February – the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technology. In March, the library staff presented new book exhibitions on metallurgy and industrial transport for students at the departments «Metal forming», «Metallurgy and metallurgy», «Technological machines and transport». Particular attention can be paid to the book exhibition «Bizdin ogytushylardyk onu adebieti. Educational literature of our teachers» on which the reader will see new educational, educational and methodological materials of the teaching staff of KarIU over the past six months.

We invite you to take an active part in the competition of photo collages “Nauryz toyy – bereke, Nauryz toyy – mereke”.  The theme of the competition is customs, rituals, family traditions, traditions of celebrating Nauryz and spring transformation of nature.

The best photographs of the participants of the competition will be awarded with diplomas of 1, 2 and 3 degrees, as well as diplomas in additional categories.

The competition accepts photographs made in color or black and white on A4 paper (scanned photo is possible).
