Karaganda Industrial University in conjunction with the Aktobe Regional University named after  K. Zhubanov held an online seminar “Applied digital ability – in the practice of the Karaganda Industrial University Google WorkSpece”.  The aim of the seminar was to exchange experience in the development of digital technologies.

The initiators and organizers of the event were the IT support sector of the Department of Digital Transformation of KarIU and the Faculty of Technology of ARSU.

The seminar was attended by teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of our university, ARSU named after  K. Zhubanov, Rudny Industrial Institute, Karaganda Technical University.

During the seminar, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Metallurgy, Mining and Oil and Gas Business of ARSU, Master MG Sultanov spoke about the main problems of e-learning in general, ways of solving them and educational platforms for distance learning.  Attention was paid to the work of the Univer system used at the university, the Smart Arsu mobile application, the Moodle and Google Classroom platforms.

The head of the SIT sector of the department of digital transformation of KarIU T. Zhuniskaliev spoke about the Google WorkSpece program used at our university, introduced the seminar participants to the possibilities of this program.

The development of digital technologies is now a topical area.  Information systems have entered all spheres of life.  The development of digital technologies opens up a huge range of opportunities.  Progress in all branches of science and industry is proceeding at a tremendous speed, without ceasing to amaze and delight.  The essence of the phenomenon Digital technologies are a discrete system based on methods of encoding and transferring information, which makes it possible to perform many diverse tasks in the shortest possible time.  It is the speed and versatility of this scheme that made IT technologies so popular.

During the seminar, the participants actively asked questions, shared their knowledge and experience.

On April 1, 2021, a memorandum was signed between the Karaganda Industrial University and Tau-Ken Temir LLP. The signing was attended by the acting Rector of KarIU Abdrasilov Bolatbek Serikbaevich and General Director of LLP «Tau-Ken Temir» Akberdin Rustam Aleksandrovich.

The signing of the memorandum will expand the partnerships of both organizations and will make it possible to effectively use the production experience of Tau-Ken Temir specialists and the scientific potential of KarIU.

Within the framework of the memorandum, scientific research will be carried out by order of «Tau-Ken Temir», including on unique ore-thermal furnaces of the university, which can become the basis for large-scale research within the framework of large projects and programs in order to obtain materials with new physicochemical properties … Agreements were also reached on joint filing of applications for participation in various grant competitions and PTFs, commercialization of the results of scientific and technical activities. The issues of creating a joint innovation infrastructure, which will become a platform for the implementation of tasks for the integration of science and production, were discussed.

Also, according to the memorandum, it is planned to hold joint scientific and practical conferences, seminars, exchanges of publications and other scientific materials. Industrial practice of students will be organized at the production facilities of Tau-Ken Temir LLP, joint projects for advanced training and scientific internships of teaching staff, employees, undergraduates, PhD students will be implemented both on the basis of our university and on the basis of LLP «Tau-Ken Temir»

Earlier, representatives of the enterprise visited the research and production center «Metallurgy» operating at our university, got acquainted with the commissioned ore-thermal furnace, studied the work of the center. At present, the university scientists are working on the digitalization of metallurgical redistribution processes and the creation of a scientific and educational portal «Digital Metallurgy».

For reference. LLP «Tau-Ken» Temir was established on November 28, 2013, is implementing a project for the production of metallurgical silicon based on the Aktas and Akshoky-3 vein quartz deposits in the Karaganda region. The design capacity is 23.9 thousand tons. Products are sold to European countries, Russia, Canada, USA.

As part of the implementation of the State Program on Counteracting Religious Extremism in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2018-2022. Head of the KSU «Center for the Study and Analysis of the Problems of Interfaith Relations of the City of Temirtau» Nurlybek Yeleusizovich Utebayev organized a meeting of students of the technical and economic college at KarIU with the head of the Public Association «Citizens of Kazakhstan» Dmitry Sergeevich Poltarenko.

The main purpose of this meeting was to prevent incorrect information and distorted ideas about a particular religion, about the state’s attitude to religion. D.S. Poltarenko spoke with the topic «Fundamentals of the principles of secularism in the Republic of Kazakhstan as a guarantee of the constitutional freedoms of every citizen.» He said that everything possible is being done in our country not only to create an atmosphere of mutual understanding and mutual respect between representatives of different confessions, but also to support the principles of the secularity of the state. This is one of the priorities of the state policy in the field of religion. This includes the preservation of secular foundations and principles of government. In accordance with the Constitution of Kazakhstan, the country proclaims itself a democratic, legal, social, secular state. The fundamental principle of secularism in Kazakhstan is that religion is separated from the state and the state does not interfere in the internal affairs and canonical issues of religious activity, in the internal affairs of religious organizations. Religious organizations cannot engage in the functions and tasks that the state carries out. At the same time, the state, to the best of its capabilities, provides legal and administrative support for the activities of religious organizations. And in no way infringes on the rights and freedoms of believers. Respect for the rights, freedoms and religious feelings of believers. Insulting religious feelings is an offense in Kazakhstan that entails responsibility.

The meeting was held in a dialogue form, where students were given the opportunity to actively participate in the discussion. The guys were very pleased, as they received answers to their questions.
