Today, on April 8, 2021, within the framework of the KarIU Science Month events, a scientific seminar «On Small and Microbusiness» was held.

Discussed topic of the meeting: Entrepreneurial education as a driver of the labor market and sustainable economic growth.

This webinar was attended by students, undergraduates and university professors both online and in the conference room.

The participation of the invited guests gave particular importance to this meeting:

During the webinar, the participants got acquainted with the macroeconomic situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the contribution of small and micro-business entities to the country’s GDP, as well as indicators of the dynamics and structure of small medium-sized businesses in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Of particular interest were the master classes of success from entrepreneurs of the city of Temirtau. Businessmen answered all the questions: from both students and online participants, they shared their valuable lessons and advice. Orazuly Aziz, director of the branch of NPP «Atameken» in the city of Temirtau, who for several years has been maintaining close cooperation with our university, also told a lot of interesting things: what support can a young person, student, novice specialist at NPP «Atameken» get; what package of documents must be provided in order to receive a grant; how you can write and receive funding for your business plan; what areas of entrepreneurship are the most promising in the near future; what measures of state support exist for a novice businessman.

On April 8, 2021, a memorandum was signed between the Karaganda branch of the Republican State Enterprise «Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology» of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University».

The participants of the event exchanged plans for long-term cooperation, outlined the main areas of further work related to:

– creation of an effective system of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of technical regulation, standardization and metrology;

– development and implementation of educational programs in the field of technical regulation, standardization and metrology;

– organization and conduct of joint research and development work in order to improve and develop the system of technical regulation, standardization and metrology;

– organization of practical training for students on the educational program «Standardization, Metrology and Certification» on the basis of the KF RSE «KazStandard».

As part of the event, the guests visited the laboratory of engineering profile «Electron microscopy and nanotechnology», got acquainted with the material and technical equipment of the departments «Processing of metals by pressure», «Construction» and «Technological machines and transport» of the Karaganda Industrial University.

The result of this dialogue was the decision to develop a roadmap for further work, which will lead to more test cooperation and will make it possible to effectively use the production experience of specialists of the KF RSE «KazStandard» and the scientific potential of KarIU.

The event was attended by acting Chairman of the Board – Rector, Doctor of Biological Sciences Abdrasilov B.S. and director of KF RSE «KazStandard» Akhmerov R.M.

Every year, within the framework of international cooperation, professors of the world’s leading foreign universities conduct lectures, scientific conferences and forums for students of our university on an ongoing basis. The current situation related to the coronavirus pandemic has made its own adjustments, and this year such lectures are being held online.

Currently, first-year students of the TFP-4k -1 group study under the strict guidance of Alessandro Figus, Professor of the Research Center for Intelligence and Strategic Studies at Link Campus University (Italy), and through distance technology, study the discipline “Social, health, pharmaceutical and quality standard public policies”

The content of the lecture by Professor Alessandro Figus is devoted to the issues and main directions of state policy in the field of health care.

This partnership contributes to the development of virtual academic mobility and the strengthening of international relations.

I would like to note that Karaganda Industrial University has a very rich history, as well as solid experience in research work in metallurgy, energy, mechanical engineering, construction, economics, business and IT technologies. He is actively working to establish international relations in research and educational activities and on an ongoing basis strengthens partnerships with foreign colleagues, both within the framework of existing educational programs and in the future.

Within the framework of the national project “Marathon of Good Deeds”, initiated by the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on April 8, 2021 at the Karaganda Industrial University, the Youth Affairs Committee held an action “Day of Kindness”, in which students, employees and the composition of the university.

The main goal of the action is to create a favorable atmosphere for doing good deeds!

As part of the action, KDM activists greeted everyone and handed out small discoveries with quotes from great thinkers: Abai Kunanbayev, Oljas Suleimenov and other philosophers about life values, help, kindness and human abilities. Also, everyone left their wishes on the tree of Good.

Undoubtedly, such actions should be carried out as often as possible, since they contribute to the development of positive qualities of character, contribute to team building, motivate society to do good deeds, good deeds for the benefit of other people. Every person on our planet should remember that he can freely carry out good deeds on the basis of voluntariness, individually or by uniting with others. After all, politeness and good manners are absolutely necessary in order to adorn any other virtues and talents.

A meeting of graduates with employees of the city employment center was held at the Karaganda Industrial University. Employment issues were discussed at the meeting. Employees of the employment center Bakhyt, Chakar and Ekaterina Maleeva spoke in detail about the directions of the state program for the development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship for 2017-2021 «Enbek». In addition, the graduates of the university were familiarized with the available vacancies in the labor market of the city of Temirtau and the region. Support of young specialists from the state, the possibility of starting their own business, providing housing – were the most asked questions among graduates.

Also at the meeting, the head of the «Career» center gave explanations on the issues of training young specialists who graduated from the state educational grant.

The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue.
