As part of the implementation of the State program “Ruhani Zhangyru” on November 17, 2018, students and teachers of KGIU took an active part in the scientific-practical conference “The History of a Small Motherland – The History of My Country”, organized by the Temirtau city local history museum “.

The aim of the conference is to develop research initiatives of young people through conducting local history research.

The participants of the event presented their projects in the following categories:

• Temirtau history: from small to large.

– the history of the street, the neighborhood of the city;

– the history of the enterprise, institution.

• Historical sites, historical and cultural monuments.
• Eminent Temirtau citizens and their contribution to the formation of the city.
• Chronicle of Temirtau – historical events and facts.

– studies of the role of the city and citizens in the context of historical events of national or global scale.

• Modern methods of popularizing the history of the region.

As experts, members of the competent jury were the head of the department “History of Kazakhstan and social sciences and humanities”, Ph.D. in political sciences Gumenchuk Oksana Nikolaevna and teacher of the same department, master of historical sciences Soltan Magira Soltanovna.

According to the results of the conference, certificates of participants were awarded to a student of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Machine Building of the TOMD-17 Group – Eleftherodi Savely for the research project “Contribution of Temirtau citizens to Victory in the Great Patriotic War”. This project highlighted the fate of all the people of Samarkand, who fought on the war fronts, showed the authenticity of the tragedy of the war years.

Participation in such events allows young people to take a different view at many historical events, helping to study the history of their native land.

Lecturer of the Kazakh, Russian and Foreign Languages Department Khamitova Shaizat Amantaevna and Lecturer of the Chemical Technology and Ecology Department Rahmetova Anara Askarbayevna took an active part in the city competition on polylinguism Til Sheberі – 2018.

Within the framework of this competition, according to the rules established by the competition regulations, the main condition for participation was the knowledge of three languages.

The competition “Til Sheberi – 2018” consisted of 3 rounds – preparation of the presentation and the participant’s business card, implementation of the intellectual task and presentation of the creative number.

The purpose of this competition is to promote trilingualism and support for talented young people.

Our teachers were the strongest contestants, showed a very high intellectual potential and an excellent knowledge of the Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

According to the results of this competition, Rakhmetova Anara Askarbayevna took second place and received a certificate worth twenty thousand tenge, and Khamitova Shaizat Amantayevna took third place and received a certificate for ten thousand tenge.

They can joke in the mining capital and love to do it. This was once again proved by the game of the Club of smart and merry in the annual traditional tournament of CSM for the Cup of the regional akim, where teams from the Karaganda region and satellite cities gathered.

The team of KGU CSM “Gianluigi Magnitoffon” from the Karaganda State Industrial University in the Akim Cup of Karaganda region, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Astana, took the honorable 2 nd place, 1 place in the tournament was taken by the CSM team of the city of Karaganda, 3 place – CSM team of ENU named after L.N. Gumilev.

The game took place in three stages – presentation, warm-up and homework, where our guys showed a decent brilliant game and sparkling humor, for which the jury unanimously noted the resourcefulness of our players.

All teams received certificates of participation, and the winners were awarded with diplomas.

In the arsenal of our CSM players, this is already the tenth victory in a row, the most important one is the victory in the semifinal of the CSM championship in Pavlodar.

Our team reached the final of the Pavlodar Irtysh CSM League and today is one of the strongest teams of the Karaganda region.

Silayeva Tatiana, student of the Faculty of Economics and Construction, became the winner of the Republican contest for student scholarships of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation N.A. Nazarbayev. Tatiana is also the owner of the title “Best Student – 2017”, an active participant in all city, regional and republican events.

The scholarships of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan are established to promote the educational, scientific and creative activities of students in our country.

The participants passed a serious competitive selection before being awarded the honorary scholarship of the Foundation N. Nazarbayev, because the scholarship of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan is not only encouraging high performance, but also a strong motivation for even greater aspirations and successes.

The competition was open to full-time students of higher and secondary special (arts and culture) educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan who study

excellently, actively participating in public, research, cultural, professional and practical activities of the educational institution. Applicants need to confirm their success with certificates, reports, publications, performances and prizes.

The competition is open to equal participation of students having a grant as well as on a fee basis.

The competition is held in two stages:

1. Selection of the best students for promotion within the school.

2. The Republican tour is conducted by the Foundation among students nominated by educational institutions and admitted to the competition.

The award ceremony will be held November 22, 2018 at the University of Turan, Almaty.

November 14, 2018 at 11.00 am all students of Karaganda state industrial University took an active part in the first Republican national dictation on Latin graphics. This is the second experience of students of our University in such an event: KGIU was the first in the region to hold a training dictation in the Latin alphabet this spring.

This time the dictation was organized and held in order to popularize and widely spread the Kazakh alphabet in the Latin script, approved by the decree of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on February 19, 2018, as well as to inculcate the skills of practical assimilation of the Latin alphabet.

As an aid 15 minutes before the start of the dictation, students were given an alphabet based on the Latin script, which in turn helped them to refresh the memory of the basic rules of spelling, a special sheet and pen.

The text of the dictation was voiced by a senior lecturer of the Department of “Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages” Kapasheva Zhania Kudaibergenovna. The duration of the test was 30 minutes.

Under the terms of the dictation, at the first reading it was necessary to listen carefully to the text, at the second – to write it, at the third – to check the spelling correctness and authenticity of the work performed. Between each sound interval, a break is made to summarize the thoughts and focus on the next piece of text.

At the end of the dictation, the text was displayed on the electronic Board with the help of a projector and each participant had the opportunity to test their adaptability to the use of the new alphabet and independently assess their knowledge on the criteria for assessing the 5-point scale.

In total, 400 people took part in the dictation.
