On October 5, Nur Sultan hosted the International education Fair 2019. The purpose of this event is to expand the prospects of international cooperation in the field of education with further integration into the world educational space, popularization of foreign education, as well as exchange of experience in the implementation of international educational projects.

The event was attended by more than 300 universities from 50 countries, including leading universities in the United States, great Britain, continental Europe, Asia and the CIS. In addition, the exhibition was attended by language schools, educational agencies, representatives of international scholarship programs. From our University, the event was attended by the Vice-rector for research and international relations of KSIU Aikeeva Altyn Amanzholovna.

Within the framework of the exhibition, a panel session on ” Education in the digital environment. New opportunities for everyone”, as well as seminars and training for applicants and representatives of foreign and Kazakh universities.

Visitors of the exhibition had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the educational programs of leading foreign universities. To date, about two hundred European universities allocate educational grants for Kazakhstanis. 20 thousand of our citizens have the opportunity to study abroad for free. Only at the moment about 150 thousand Kazakhstanis study in foreign universities. Thanks to such a large-scale event as the international education Fair-2019, the number of students may increase to 4 hundred by the next years.

“Career week “of JSC” ArcelorMittal Temirtau ” started on October 2. The purpose of this event is to organize a meeting of the employer and future employees, as well as to help students find employment at the company’s enterprises, and applicants-to decide on the choice of future profession. This kind of event is held in JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” for the first time.

The event was attended by more than three hundred students and applicants of Temirtau and Karaganda, including students of Karaganda state industrial University.

As part of the “Career week” for all participants three days in a row, the leaders of the company “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” Executive Director Vadim basin, Director of the coal Department Andrei Chernomaz, Director of LLP “Orken” Victor Gafiulov, acting Director of personnel Vera Tereshkina, Director of cold hire Eugene Hicko and other invited speakers held trainings, master classes and lectures in the following areas: Finance, marketing, metallurgy, mining and many others. In addition, students were told about the company’s social policy and opportunities for training and development of employees.

Unusual photo zones with interesting entertainment were organized for the participants of the” Career week ” in the lobby of ArcelorMittal University Campus Kazakhstan. Natalia Plokhikh, head of the personnel training and development Department of ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC, told about the plans for the future, and that this event will be held on an annual basis.

On October 4, 2019, Karaganda higher Polytechnic College hosted the international forum “STEM-technologies in training industry 4.0”. The purpose of the forum is to develop an algorithm to maximize the availability and quality of vocational education, updating its content taking into account the needs of society, the individual and the industrial and innovative development of the economy.

The event was attended by representatives of NAO “holding ” Kasipkor”, heads of regional departments, rectors of universities, representatives of colleges of the region, social partners. Representatives of the Republic of Belarus, Germany, Lithuania, Estonia and Sweden were invited as expert speakers.

The Forum participants visited the sites of the first regional championship “Agroskills” among students of rural colleges and “Zhasagroskills” among students of rural schools on the basis of Karaganda technical and construction College and Karaganda higher Polytechnic College.

The following issues were discussed at the international forum:

– implementation of the project “Training region” to create a zone of advanced education;

– opening of technology parks on the sites of the organizations entities;

– network form of interaction of partner institutions in the development and implementation of educational programs, including for students with disabilities;

– creation of competence centers by types of economic activity;

– prospects of the University 3.0 organization: education + production + science + commercialization;

– quality system of professional education of the European Union EQAVET+ PRACTICAL;

– model of strategic management in the field of IT services and maturity assessment for secondary schools.

As a result of the Forum, a Roadmap for the implementation of the project “Learning region”was developed.

Holding such a forum format is another opportunity to study international experience and learn from the best. This, of course, will contribute to the further improvement of the vocational education system of our region.

There are holidays in life that concern each of us. October 1, we celebrate one of these holidays — the day of the elderly, as a tribute to the traditions of respect and veneration of old age, a sign of recognition of the merits of older people, their multifaceted contribution to the development of our state.

The annual celebration of the day of the elderly in Karaganda state industrial university is becoming a good tradition. The celebration of labor veterans took place on October 4, 2019 in the project office of “rukhani zhangyru” KSIU.

Honored guests of this meeting were honored teachers of our University Gavva Nina Fedoseevna, Ormysheva Meiramkul Imankulovna, Shargorodskaya Nina Fedorovna, Filatov Anatoly Vasilyevich, Baigabatov Tuleutai Smakovich, Kukalo Lyudmila Ivanovna, Kharlamov Anatoly Dmitrievich, Artykbayev Otepbergen Artykbaevich, Starostina Nadezhda Ivanovna.

The Director of the Department for educational work and youth policy Salpenova Madina Meiramovna and the chairman of the trade Union Committee Karipbaeva Aizhan Ryskeldinovna addressed the veterans and pensioners with words of gratitude.

The participants of the meeting with pleasure and special warmth shared their memories of working time in the university, about their colleagues and students, about how the university changes from year to year. They noted the positive changes that have occurred in their native University, and expressed gratitude to the rector of the university Bakhyt Akhatovich Zhautikov for the constant care of labor veterans. For each of these people, our university will always remain a home, because each participant of the meeting has worked in our university for more than 30 years.

After the official part, the veterans of the university were shown a concert program, and the celebration ended with a tea party and general photography for memory.
