- Remote testing
The exam starts at the scheduled time. Access to AIS Platonus on the day of the exam will be open for 2 hours, if one exam is provided, and 3 hours, if two exams are provided, starting from the time of the start of the exam. The time for passing one exam in one discipline is one hour, starting from the beginning of testing. In other words, the student can start testing later than indicated in the schedule. This measure is designed to maximize students ‘ access to the system when the Internet speed is reduced in the places where students live or temporarily disconnects it.
If there are two students and one computer in the family, then if the exam time coincides, students should inform the lecturer/examiner, who should coordinate with the Registrar’s Office the access time to the system for the exam.
For example: the exam start Time is 09.00. Access to the system will be open from 9 to 11 o’clock, and in order to have full time to pass the test, the student must log in no later than 10 o’clock.
The examination sheet is formed automatically in the AIS “Platonus”. The teacher who takes the exam sends the electronic report to the email address vedomosti@kgiu.kz and the Dean’s office. The statement must be sent on the day of the exam. The teacher must also attach a file with the list of students who passed the FX exam (25-49 points).
In the subject line, you must specify the discipline, group, and Full Name of the teacher.
The teacher saves all videos in a separate e-folder for each group and then submits it to the DAP.
- If students have problems during the exam, the teacher immediately reports it to the Registrar’s office or Citt (depending on the reason), to take measures to continue the exam. If necessary, you can also contact the Dean of the faculty or the Director of DAP. Phone numbers are given below. The next day after the exam, students ‘ requests that they cannot log in will not be accepted.
- If a student does not come out for testing, does not come out for video conferencing, or does not send the completed task, and does not inform the lecturer/examiner/Dean of the reason for absenteeism, this is considered a failure to appear for the exam.
Each student’s failure to appear for the exam is reviewed by the Dean’s office and the Academic Committee, and must be confirmed by an official document. A document confirming a valid reason for the student’s failure to appear for the exam must be submitted to the Dean’s office or academic Committee no later than three days from the deadline specified in the submitted document. (valid reasons are considered to be illness, natural disasters, funerals of loved ones, being at work without the possibility of separation from work).
If there are valid reasons that are documented, the academic Committee can set an individual schedule for passing the missed exam for the student at their request.
- an Appeal may be filed by a student no later than two days after the announcement of the exam results. The appeal is sent to the following email address appeal@kgiu.kz.
- If a student during the exam received an unsatisfactory score, scoring from 25 to 49 points, he has the right to retake the exam. Retake the same discipline is allowed no more than 2 times.
