Sarsenova Zhaylygul, a student of Karaganda state industrial university, became the winner in the network project «Letter to a veteran»
The project was organized by the KSU «youth resource center of the city of Temirtau».

As part of the «Letter to a veteran» project, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war, an appeal to veterans and home front workers was written from grateful descendants.

The main goals of the project were two: to preserve the historical memory of the war, to pass it on to the younger generation and to pay tribute to the leaders of the feat of the people in the great Patriotic war – veterans, developing the ideas of the volunteer movement. The project is aimed at fostering patriotism, which should become the unifying Foundation of our society in the difficult and contradictory time of the beginning of the XXI century.

Project objectives:

– Patriotic, spiritual and moral education, work aimed at a deep understanding of the great feat of the Soviet people;

– instilling compassion for the fate of the military generation, a sense of gratitude to those who saved humanity from the horrors of fascism;

– attracting students to participate in the project dedicated to the Victory Day in the great Patriotic war.

At the end of the competition, the winner was awarded a fitness bracelet and a letter of thanks!

In the conditions of forced isolation and quarantine, Karaganda state industrial university actively uses the leading corporate solution for videoconferencing, online meetings, screen sharing, and webinars, the Cisco WebEx platform for conducting events in an online format.

On may 5, KSIU hosted an international online teleconference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war and the 100th anniversary of Hero of the Soviet Union Nurken Abdirov, who united Moscow, Astrakhan, Karaganda and Temirtau. The event was attended by more than 200 teachers and students of universities and colleges in Kazakhstan and Russia.

On April 16, 2020, a scientific conference «Youth, science and technology» was held in Karaganda state industrial university in an online format: ways of improvement and integration”, dedicated to the day of science in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference was attended by more than 250 people from leading universities in Kazakhstan and Russia.

Today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke at the final meeting of the State Commission on the state of emergency. Thanks to the coordinated work of the Government and state bodies on the ground, it was possible to localize the mass spread of the coronavirus. The state of emergency imposed in the country has helped to minimize the risk of a pandemic in the country. In the conditions of quarantine, doctors, police officers, emergency workers, and volunteers worked selflessly on the front line. The people of the country, understanding the importance of the measures taken, supported all those who day and night, without seeing their families, provided our security. The spirit of unity of all Kazakhstanis was shown in this.

In his speech, the President outlined a set of measures aimed at improving the well-being of Kazakhstanis. Very strong support of socially vulnerable categories of citizens will continue to pay 42500 tenge to individuals who are temporarily without income, allocated funding for the implementation of the employment Road map and the President’s proposed loan program “5-10-20” will be a powerful factor of social support of Kazakhstan. In addition, on the eve of the sowing campaign, the problems of farmers were solved at the expense of the KazAgro Fund.

The President also paid special attention to changes in the education system in the post-quarantine period: “Education should be made much more flexible, protocols and methods for teaching children and students in remote mode should be developed, and all educational institutions in the country should be fully digitalized.” For many educational institutions, the period of quarantine has become an exam for strength, and conducting classes in the mode of remote technologies has allowed to continue the educational process without disruptions. As noted by Kasim Camardelli need to continue this practice in the future.

The teaching staff of Karaganda state industrial University has done a lot of preliminary work on the development of digital content of the disciplines read. At the beginning of the school year, video lectures, electronic textbooks, emcd, cases, and virtual laboratory work were recorded, which helped to quickly organize the educational process in the state of emergency. Teachers and students of our University were sympathetic to the quarantine regime. In addition, measures were taken to support employees who were sent on leave without pay: by the decision of the Academic Council, they were paid additional payments in the amount of 42500 tenge.

“It is important to maintain a certain charge of initiative, taking responsibility for themselves in the post-viral period,” the President said in his speech, so Kazakhstani people are faced with the task of observing the post-quarantine regime.

In a difficult period for Kazakhstan, only the unity of the people allowed to stand up in the fight against the pandemic. Only together we can overcome everything!

2020 is the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The highest price was paid for the Victory – the price of life. In the fate of every family, the war left its mark. Victory Day is a holiday uniting generations.

On May 9, 2020, at the Karaganda State Industrial University, the jury summed up the results of the online military-patriotic song contest dedicated to the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Songs of the war years are a special chronicle of their time, these are songs about heroism, courage, and stamina. If in the pre-war years the song helped “build and live,” during the war it helped “live and fight.”

The purpose of the competition is to promote the best examples of military-patriotic songs.

8 students of our university went to the finals of the online competition:

1 participant – Eleftheriadi Saveliy.

2 participant – Kylyshbaeva Nurgul.

3 participant – Spiridonova Tomiris.

4 participant – Mendіgalieva Uldana.

5 participant – Menei Yerkanat.

6 participant – a duet of Almat and Maksat.

7 participant – Kenesbekov Aslan.

8 participant – Kudrevatykh Edward.

All participants of the contest came up creatively to perform patriotic songs. The entries in their format were very interesting. Many participants performed their works accompanied by musical instruments: Eleftheriadi Savely accompanied himself to the piano, and Kudrevatykh Eduard, the duet Almat and Masat performed songs with a guitar.

The competition was held on the social network instagram @studenttik_parlamentt KSIU. The organizer of the event was the student union committee together with the youth affairs committee.

In order for the contest to be 100% fair, everyone could leave their voice with their favorite video, but with the condition that “One person votes only once”. Each participant was assigned a serial number. Also, their opinion was expressed by members of the jury consisting of: M. Salpenova – Director of the Department for EW and MP, Karipbaeva A.R. – Chairman of the KSIU trade union committee, Kapasheva Zh.K. – Dean of the School of Integrity, N. Nurmakhanova – Chairman of CYA, Zulkhaydar Yerkhan – chief sardar of KSIU, who took into account the views of subscribers – students.

In making its decision, the jury was guided by the following criteria: musicality, artistic interpretation of a musical work; purity of intonation and sound quality; the beauty of timbre and the power of voice; the embodiment of military-patriotic themes, stage culture; the complexity of the repertoire; the correspondence of the repertoire with the performance capabilities and age category of the performer; performing skills, creating an appropriate image.

According to the results of the competition, the places were distributed as follows:

1^st place was taken – Mendіgalieva Uldana (prize – 15 thousand tenge).

2^nd place was taken by Aslan Kenesbekov and Nurgul Kylyshbaeva (prize – 10 thousand tenge).

3^rd place – Menei Yerkanat, Spiridonova Tomiris, duet Almat and Maksat (prize – 8 thousand tenge each)

Students ’Eleftheriadi Savely and Kudrevatykh Eduard received a prize of audience sympathy (prize of 5 thousand tenge).

The competition was held at a fairly high level. The winners were awarded with diplomas and cash prizes from the trade union committee of students of KSIU.

The organizers thank all the participants for the creative approach and activity.
