Karaganda State Industrial University continues to meet with students of 9th and 11th grades of Temirtau city schools and Aktau village as part of the choice of “Future profession”. January 25th of this year University employees traveled to the village of Aktau, where they met with graduates of secondary school №28,29,32. At the meeting, representatives of the university introduced graduates with specialties of the university, the college at KSIU, and detailed explanations were given to all applicants’ questions of interest.

These meetings help school graduates to decide on their future profession, learn the features of a particular specialty, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of student life.

January 23, 2019 in the House of Friendship of the city of Karaganda, a meeting of the Scientific Expert Group of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda Region was held, in which the Head of the Department of APK KSIU Zhanabergenova Dinara Kenesovna took an active part.

The moderator of the meeting, the chairman of the Scientific Expert Group of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of the Karaganda Region, Molotov-Luchansky Vilen Borisovich, summed up the work for 2018, and also voiced the plans and directions of work for 2019.

The agenda included issues of further work on the following program documents:

– Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev from October 5, 2018 “The growth of the welfare of Kazakhstan: an increase in income and quality of life”;

– Appeal of the President to the people “Five social initiatives of the President”;

– Program article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev “Looking to the future: the modernization of public consciousness”;

– Article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev “Seven edges of the Great Steppe”;

– Implementation of the scientific and educational project of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan “Kazakhstan”;

– Conducting sociological research: “Value orientation of the student youth in the region”

During the meeting, the approval of the composition and plan of the Scientific Expert Group of the APK of the Karaganda Region in 2019 took place.

Karaganda State Industrial University announces the opening of admission of documents among students to study abroad in the framework of academic mobility for the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year  

The competition is open to students of the 1st and 2nd courses. 

The main criteria for the selection of applicants and mandatory requirements: ·       

passport of a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan (notarized color copy);·
internationally recognized certificate confirming the level of English proficiency (if you
have an IELTS 5.0 or higher certificate, TOEFL 35 is 44 or higher)

On January 23, KGIU students online became participants in the ceremonial start of the Year of Youth. By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, 2019 has been declared the Year of Youth, during which a number of measures will be implemented to support and implement the state youth policy.

The event was attended by the Head of State Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev, members of the Government, deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leadership of local executive bodies, members of the Youth Policy Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winners of the “100 new faces” competition, graduates of the Bolashak program, scientists, representatives of creative, student and working youth. Bright and creative representatives of young people who have achieved success in various spheres acted as speakers in the opening ceremony.

During the ceremony, the start of the implementation of a large-scale action plan aimed at the comprehensive support and implementation of state-impact youth policy in the country. The head of state announced the upcoming modernization of the social environment of rural areas. This will contribute to the launch of a special project “Aul – El Besigi”. There will also appear the Sarbaz youth associations, similar to the boy scout movement, and attention will be paid to military-patriotic education in schools. Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to revive mass school tourism in the regions of the country as part of the new initiative “Know Your Land”. In addition, Kazakhstan will adopt a special state program for young people, focused on the implementation of four tasks: education, housing, health and patriotic education.

University students noted the importance of supporting youth initiatives in the Year of Youth. Today, when the country sets new large-scale tasks for social modernization, accelerated innovative industrialization and mutually beneficial economic integration, the role of youth leaders will be especially important and necessary, because the strategic development of any state is unthinkable without the energy of youth leaders, of the entire younger generation. The beginning of the Year of Youth in Kazakhstan indicates that the youth policy is not at the periphery of interests, but in the priority area of ​​state attention.
