KARAGANDA STATE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY HELD A SEMINAR-CONSULTATION TO EXPLAIN THE PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING STATE SUPPORT MEASURES

On November 22, 2019, within the framework of industrial and innovative development of the Karaganda region, a seminar-consultation on explaining the procedure for obtaining state support measures to citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at the Karaganda state industrial university.

The organizer was JSC “SEC “Saryarka” with the support of the Department of industry and industrial and innovative development of Karaganda region.

The objectives of the seminar were to promote innovation and explain the tools of state support for industrial innovation.

Among the speakers were representatives of JSC “QazTech Ventures”, JSC “SEC “Saryarka”, Regional chamber of entrepreneurs” Atameken ” in Karaganda region.

The welcoming speech was given to the Director of the Department of science and innovation of KSIU – Yerzhanov Almas Satybaldyevich.

Deputy Director Of the Department for investments, digitalization and PPP projects of JSC SEC “Saryarka” – Karymov Dastan made a report on the activities of the Regional office of innovation, services provided, as well as support tools of JSC “Kazakhstan center of industry and export” and JSC “Science Foundation”.

Asem Kuzbagarova, Manager-consultant on state programs of the Karaganda chamber of entrepreneurs “Atameken”, spoke in detail about the measures of support for SMEs in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the event, the participants of the event learned about the conditions of subsidizing projects under the Single program “Business Road Map 2020”, guarantee programs, non-financial measures to support entrepreneurship, the types and rules of innovative grants, and were able to personally ask their questions and get comprehensive detailed answers.

The seminar was also attended by entrepreneurs, scientists, innovators, representatives of startup companies and industrial enterprises of Karaganda region.

ACTIVISTS OF THE VOLUNTEER MOVEMENT “KAMKOR” KSIU PARTICIPATED IN THE REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL FORUM “VOLONTARIAT QURYLTAIY»

In anticipation of the Year of youth to promote volunteerism and sustain youth initiatives 22 Nov 2019, the members of the volunteer club “Kamkor” Karaganda state industrial university Temirkhan Nurbol, Sarsenova Jailygul, Kapanova Sattigul, Ibrayeva Amina, Adina Ibrayeva,Julia Golubeva took an active part in the regional educational forum “Volontariat quryltaiy”, organized by KSU was “Youth resource center Temirtau” in cooperation with the volunteer center “Shanyrak”.

The purpose of this forum: popularization of volunteer activities, the formation of a pool of volunteer initiatives.

The Forum program consisted of six interesting trainings on: Digital-volunteering, International volunteering, ZOO-volunteering Eco-volunteering, Event volunteering and social volunteering; factory volunteer projects, presentation of volunteer practices and initiatives that reflect the volunteer movement in Kazakhstan and volunteering in General, training sessions, workshops, film show “Film on volunteering”, meetings with famous people, discussions, and cultural and recreational and other activities.

The organizers of the forum for the best and most creative volunteer project awarded prize-winning places.

Within the framework of the event, participants were provided with starting opportunities for youth initiatives, creation of conditions for self-realization and development of student youth, formation and development of youth teams, associations and organizations.

Traditionally, the forum participants were the most enterprising young people of Temirtau and Karaganda region.

THE IMPORTANCE OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION IN MODERN SOCIETY

On November 21st, 2019, Karaganda state industrial university hosted a meeting of third-year students with theologians of Temirtau.

The purpose of the event is prevention of religious extremism, religious education and increase of religious literacy of students.

The meeting was attended by: Toleuov Aydin Sabyrovich-Director of the center for the study and analysis of problems of interfaith relations of Temirtau, Ordabaev Birlikbay Kemalovich-Chairman of the Council of veterans of Temirtau and Utebaev Nurlybek Eleusizovich-teacher of the technical and economic college at KSIU.

Within the framework of the meeting, the norms of the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of religious associations were explained, information was given on the norms of legislation in terms of wearing attributes and garments, religious themes, or demonstrating belonging to destructive ideological trends in higher education institutions.

The meeting was held in the form of a dialogue, students freely asked questions and received comprehensive qualified answers.

During the event, students were given numbers of the Call center, where everyone can get information and consulting services and answers to topical issues of religious education of young people.

The participants of the meeting noted that it is necessary to constantly carry out prevention of religious extremism through the promotion of interfaith harmony and tolerance, preservation and development of spiritual culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, promotion of the principles of secularism of the state and society, increase of religious and legal literacy of the population, disclosure of the essence and harmfulness of radical religious ideologies.

KSIU STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TAKE PART IN THE WORKSHOP ON THE TOPIC “INTEGRATED LEADERSHIP PROGRAM WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF TRAINING IN THE LEADING US COMPANIES”

 

On November 20, 2019, students and teachers of our university took part in a seminar on the topic “A comprehensive leadership program for internships in leading US companies”, organized by the teachers of the Department of Construction, Irina Anatolyevna Moon and Beisembina Marzhan Maratbekovna.

Irina Anatolievna and Marzhan Maratbekovna spent five weeks in the USA and won a grant under the TechWomen program in Silicon Valley for the implementation of a socially significant project for our country. They have been selected from 3,000 applicants worldwide.

This program is designed specifically for women, students, undergraduates and doctoral students with the aim of teaching new approaches to leadership, which are based on the principles of serving society, respect for the dignity and personality of each person, developing personal and professional potential, building a team and combining creative efforts to achieve high results.

Participants in the project participated in internships at major technology companies, where they worked in panel sessions with women who run these companies, occupy leading positions, namely IT directors and vice presidents of IT development.

TechWomen is a program that also helps and supports women, leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM disciplines) from Africa, Central Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East.

The tasks of the program include:

– development of personal and professional leadership potential;

– acquisition of intercultural communication skills;

– strengthening international relations;

– Improving the English language in order to work in international companies and mastering new effective approaches to management and teamwork.

TechWomen provides participants with the opportunities they need to advance their careers, make dreams come true, and inspire women and girls. Through mentoring and leadership, TechWomen helps participants gain professional experience, improve mutual understanding and increase girls’ interest in STEM disciplines by providing them with role models.

Key criteria for participation:

– have a minimum of two years of experience in the field of natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM);

– have a bachelor’s degree / diploma of obtaining a four-year higher education or its equivalent;

– speak written and spoken English.

Our teachers noted that this project helped them realize their potential in implementing changes for the benefit of society, contribute to the development of companies and made it possible to pass on their knowledge to the next program participants and the younger generation.

At the end of the project, it was decided to create an online platform that will focus on improving family relationships, healthy family relationships, and will also help women feel more in demand so that they realize their potential, because in any field it plays a huge role .

“… We were proud that we raised our flag of Kazakhstan at the Google head office in Silicon Valley (California). “We won a grant for the implementation of the project and we hope that this is not the first victory of the brilliant women of our country ….”

KSIU strengthens international cooperation with Italy

In the period from November 15 to 20, 2019, the guests of honor from Italy, professor Link Campus University, vice-rector for internationalization of NKSU named. M. Kozybaeva Alessandro Figus and Italian language teacher at the Leonardo da Vinci Center Ludovico De Serio.

The purpose of the visit was to expand international cooperation with Italian universities, as well as to consider the issue of joint participation in international programs, including the Erasmus + program.

On November 15, a tour of KGIU was held for guests, during which production sites and unique laboratory equipment were demonstrated. The guests visited the Regional Center of the Cisco Networking Academy and the SOTSBI Information and Communication Center, 3D Engineering Factory and Festa Laboratory, Electronic Microscopy and Nanotechnology Engineering Laboratory, as well as the Metallurgy Training and Research Center, where guests were able to familiarize themselves with  the pilot industrial site “Metallurgical Processes” and existing models of the full cycle of blast furnace and converter production.

In the framework of the international project “Erasmus +”, from November 18 to 20, Professor PhD Alessandro Figus delivered a series of training lectures to the students of our university on the course “European Union Law and Organization and the approach to the international diplomacy”.

On November 19, Professor Alessandro Figus, together with the teacher Ludovico De Serio, held a seminar for representatives of the faculties of KGIU, the theme of which was to consider the issue of joint participation in international programs and in the Erasmus + program.

Summing up the meeting, the guests expressed their gratitude and noted that the meeting was very fruitful. An open, interested dialogue took place between representatives of KGIU University and Italian guests. Of course, this will give a new impetus to the further development of education and science, the organization of systemic relations and mutually beneficial international cooperation.

I would like to note that our university has a very rich history, as well as solid experience in research work in metallurgy, energy, engineering, construction, economics, business and IT-technologies. He is actively working to establish international relations in research and educational activities and is constantly strengthening partnerships with foreign colleagues, both in the framework of existing educational programs and in the long term.
