Attention! Information on the organization of the educational process in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year at the NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University»

The organization of the educational process in NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University» is carried out in accordance with the established teaching load, educational programs, working curricula and academic calendar for the 2020-2021 academic year.

For 1st year students of all educational programs of the university, blended learning is provided (lectures and seminars – online, laboratory and practical classes in full-time format, subject to a sanitary regime and a social distance of 2 meters) in the period from 01.25.2021. until 05.29.2021.

For students of 2, 3 courses of educational programs «Economics», «Accounting and Audit» «Management», «Computers and Software» , «Life Safety and Environmental Protection», «Software Engineering», «Economics of a financial organization», « Accounting and audit in entrepreneurship», «Industrial, environmental and fire safety», full distance learning is maintained in the period from 01.25.2021. until 05.29.2021

For students of 2, 3 courses of educational programs «Metallurgy», «Automation and control», «Construction», «Electric power», «Heat power», «Technological machines and equipment», «Mechanical engineering», «Technology of processing materials by pressure», «Transport, transport equipment and technologies», «Chemical technology of organic substances», «Materials science and technology of new materials», «Power supply of industrial facilities», «Metallurgy of ferrous metals», «Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals», «Processing of materials by pressure», «Forging and stamping production in MS», «Engineering of automation systems», « Technological equipment of industry», «Hoisting-and-transport and road-building machines», «Industrial and civil construction» provides training in a mixed format with the observance of social distance and increased sanitary measures in the period from 25.01.2021 until 05.29.2021 Scheduled.

For 4th year students of all educational programs in the period from 01.25.2021. until 04.03.2021 passing undergraduate practice in a mixed format.

For graduate and doctoral students of all educational programs in the period from 01.02.2021. until 05.29.2021 blended learning is envisaged, including practical exercises, NIRM, EIRM (according to the individual plans of students) in full-time format with respect to social distance and enhanced sanitary measures, theoretical training in a distance format.

Restrictions are introduced for foreign academic mobility and internships.

Students have the opportunity to continue their studies in a distance format based on their application, in case of signs of COVID-19, pulmonary pneumonia or other viral diseases, subject to consideration of these applications at a meeting of the quality assurance committees of the relevant faculties and the University’s Academic Quality Committee.

On December 21-28, 2020, in accordance with the work plan of the School of Integrity and the student Club “Sanaly Urpak”, a drawing contest was held among children, grandchildren of the teaching staff, university staff on the topic “Corruption through the eyes of a child”.

The purpose of the competition is to educate the younger generation on the principles of ethics, expand knowledge about offenses, form a culture of integrity among the younger generation, and develop a culture of family integrity. The competition was attended by children and teenagers aged 5-16 years.

The works submitted for the competition were considered by a specially created commission, according to the results, the works that took 3 prizes and 1 incentive place were determined. The winners of the competition were awarded certificates of the Commissioner for Ethics and Anti-corruption risks of the University of Sivyakova G. A. and special prizes.

The winners were sisters Khayrolkyzy Inzhu and Zhanerke, 7 and 10 years old (mother-senior lecturer of the Department of Economics and Business Shaimardan Aysaule).

Winner of the 2nd place – 10-year-old Adalbek Ainazym (mother-senior lecturer of the Department ” History of Kazakhstan and social and humanitarian disciplines» Soltan Magira Soltanovna).

3 place was taken by 10-year-old Zaytova Ayaru (mother-head of the Department “Materials processing by pressure”, PhD Akhmetova Gulzhainat Esengulova).

The winner of the 4th place was 12-year-old Kharchenko Taisiya (mother-Director of the Department of Academic Policy, PhD Kharchenko Elena Mikhailovna).

This competition showed that the formation of ethical foundations begins with family education.

On December 11, 2020, the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, together with the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty and the republican project office «Sanaly urpaq», held an international on-line Olympiad on the subject «Legal bases of anti-corruption» among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign universities.

The goal of the Olympiad is to foster an active citizenship of students in order to counter corruption, form and develop integrity, identify and support the most talented and gifted students.

The Olympiad was held in two rounds: in the first round, students answered 60 test questions on the platform www.online.test.kaznu.kz,  in the second round there was a video file of a scientific project on the topic «Formation and development of the principles of integrity as a basis for combating corruption.» Out of 290 participants from 24 Kazakhstani and foreign universities, 251 participants successfully passed the first stage, of which 194 participants went to the second round. It should be noted that members of the student club «Sanaly Urpak» of Karaganda Industrial University, students of the MITNM-19k group Ibraevs Adina and Amina, group PGS-19k Sagtapbergen Arman, group ISA-19k Abduuli Ramazan and group ISA-19 ​​passed the 1st round Danil Romanov.

According to the results of the second round in the nomination «For originality» the winner was a member of the student club «Sanaly Urpak» KarIU, student of the ISA-19 ​​group Romanov Danil.

Participants from our university for the Olympiad on theoretical issues were prepared by senior teachers of the department «History of Kazakhstan, social and humanitarian disciplines» Cherkashin VG and Soltan M., the head of the scientific project is the dean of the «School of Integrity», M.G. Kapasheva Zh.K.

The victory of our students is of particular importance, since students of law faculties of universities in our country and foreign universities fought for the title of the best.

For the third year in a row, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Atameken» compiles the Rating of educational programs of universities by order of the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The rating is based on 17 criteria included in three blocks «Career prospects of graduates», «Quality of the educational program» and «Achievements of students».

On the eve of the outgoing 2020, a briefing was held on the results of the Ranking of Bachelor’s Degree Programs for the Outgoing Year.

In 2020, the study covered 2,000 educational programs, analyzed the employment of 68,000 graduates, and involved more than 600 industry experts from all regions of Kazakhstan. As a result, 6 thousand expert opinions were received on 108 universities.

Employment for universities today is becoming one of the main indicators. The following EPs of the Karaganda Industrial University showed a 100 percent level of employment: Automation and Control (Engineering of Automation Systems), Computers and Software (Software Engineering), Heat Power Engineering (Heat Power Engineering of Industrial Enterprises and Housing and Communal Services).

It should be noted that over the three years of the rating’s existence, the quality of educational programs of Kazakhstani universities has improved significantly. According to the experts who took part in the study, the programs have become more adapted to the market.

Karaganda Industrial University in the ranking of educational programs of universities of Kazakhstan – 2020 for undergraduate programs took the following positions:

• educational program «Materials Science and Technology of New Materials» – 1st place;

• educational program «Heat Power Engineering» – 1st place;

• educational program «Metallurgy» – 6th place;

• educational program «Automation and Control» – 6th place;

• educational program «Chemical technology of organic substances» – 7th place;

• educational program «Mechanical Engineering» – 9th place.
