April 15-16, 2021 at KazNRTU named after I.  K. Satpayev hosted the II stage of the XIII Republican subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the specialty «Automation and Control».

The Olympiad was held in an online format on the Microsoft teams platform among full-time students in the disciplines «Theoretical Foundations of Electrical Engineering» and «Linear Automatic Control Systems.  The team of the NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University» was represented by students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies Shishuk Vladimir, Musaev Marat, Ognev Andrey.  Our students represented the university with dignity.  At the end of the Olympiad, all participants received certificates.

As part of the celebration of the Unity Day of the Peoples of Kazakhstan, one of the most important holidays of our country, two competitions were held at the Karaganda Industrial University: the Photo Collages Competition, «Nauryz toyy – bereke, Nauryz toyy – mereke», and the «Our Merry Student Life» video contest.

Bright and colorful were the works of our students in the competition of photo collages, each was distinguished by its originality and creative approach, as well as revealed a certain meaning of national values, customs, rites and family traditions. The presented works depicted moments of Nauryz’s celebration in the families of the participants, significant events and folk traditions.

First-year students studying in the specialties «Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology» and «Program engineering» took an active part in the competition. The work was particularly noted

Six works were presented at the «Our Merry Student Life» video contest. As a result of the vote, the seats were distributed as follows:

1st place – a video of the student collective «Number one» (at the time of summing up the comments 1040, views 2456).

2nd place – a video of the student collective «Westerka» (at the time of summing up the comments 576, views 1346).

3rd place – a video of the student collective «JasStar» (at the time of summing up the comments 350, views 2042).

The People’s Choice Award went to the student collective Metallurgy (at the time of summing up the comments 254, views 1453).

In order for the contest to be 100% fair, everyone could leave their vote under the favorite video, but with the obligatory condition that «One person votes only once @kariu_kz.»

On April 28, 2021, the results of the city video competition «My Robot – 2021», held by the departments of «Artificial Intelligence Technologies» and «Energy», were summed up at the Karaganda Industrial University. Diplomas and prizes to the winners, as well as letters of thanks to their leaders, were presented in a solemn atmosphere by the vice-rector for scientific work and international cooperation of the Karaganda Industrial University Aikeeva Altyn Amanzholovna.

According to the results of the work of the jury, the 1st place was awarded to the 5th grade student of the school №16 in Temirtau Kim Maxim and the student of the 5th grade of the secondary school №24 in Temirtau Dmitry Sitnekov, who presented in their video the project «Calculator for people with disabilities – analog of a printer Braille» , developed under the direction of Sergey N. Kytmanov in the private robotics circle «Baymax».

2nd place in the competition was given to students of the 6th grade of the PTKL Strukov Ilya, Zubov Yaroslav and the student of the 4th grade of PTKL Stanislav Korshikov, who developed the project «Robot delivering water (drinks)» under the leadership of Sergey N. Kytmanov.

The diploma for the occupied 3rd place was received by a 6th grade student of the gymnasium named after Ә. Bukeikhan Shaimurat Aibek, who presented the project «Mobile Robotics», which was carried out under the leadership of Abdirov Mahsatbek Muratbekovich.

In the category «Audience Choice Award», the victory was won by students of the 5th grade of the secondary school No. 14 Ozerov Maxim and Pevtsov Dmitry, whose video demonstration of the «Robot-tractor» project, made under the leadership of Svetlana Yuryevna Islamova, received the largest number of votes based on the results of online voting on the platform YouTube.

– «Feeder for pets» (authors: Temirzhanov Diaz, Tolegenova Zhibek, head: Koshkinova Nazgul Alikhanovna) – the best idea in the field of caring for pets;

– «Prototype of a vending coffee machine» (author: Tanatarov Bauyrzhan Marsovich, head: Titova Zhanna Ivanovna) – the best idea in the field of creating vending machines;

– «Menin by a robot (robot – garbage collector)» (author: Smanov Ansat Kanatovich, head: Nurlybaeva Khadisha) – the best idea for maintaining cleanliness;

– «Menin robotim (robot – gymnast)» (authors: Rakhimova Nazerke, Sagyntai Aigerim, Zhalkas Uldana, leader: Aldanazarova Bakyt Sharipovna) is the best sports idea.

On April 26, the methodological week of the School of Integrity started at the Karaganda Industrial University.

The purpose of the week is to provide methodological, educational support to the teaching staff and the student community in training representatives of the anti-corruption movement of the new formation through activities aimed at building integrity in the academic environment.

The first day of the week began with the opening of the «Clean Session» promotion. Members of the student club «Sanaly Urpak» distributed propaganda stickers «Adal bilim», «Adal enbek» among the leaders, teachers, staff and students of the university. Also, an online meeting was held for 1st and 2nd year students to clarify the Code of Academic Integrity and the Rules of Ethics for students of KarIU.

During the meeting, with the help of presentation material, the need to comply with the principles of academic integrity, as well as the types of penalties imposed for non-compliance with the Code were explained. The organizers of this event were the dean of the «School of Integrity» Zh.K. Kapasheva, members of the student club «Sanaly Urpak».
