Everyday corruption is one of the types of corruption that we constantly face in everyday life. Due to the use of workarounds, in the form of existing laws, rules and regulations, everything looks supposedly legal. Thus, small amounts have an impact on solving the most mundane issues. These include bribery in hospitals, schools, local licensing authorities, the police and the tax service.
Gratitude expressed in a gift or an envelope with money has ceased to be perceived by many of us as a bribe, rather as a kind of obligatory ritual and attribute of relationships. What do we usually thank for? Oddly enough, for almost everything. Moreover, not only the recipient will be offended by the lack of gratitude, but also the “petitioner” feels uncomfortable if he has not “prepared”in advance.
Corruption crimes are very difficult to prove, since unlike from other offenses, there is no specific victim who could disclose the secret of the crime with impunity. Thus, corruption harms the entire society.
