On September 2, a traditional Health Festival was held at the Karaganda Industrial University as part of the Freshman Week. The event was aimed at popularizing sports and a healthy lifestyle among freshmen.

The festival program was very eventful, freshmen took part in all relay races with pleasure, showed team spirit and fierce will to win.

For 4 years, our university has been implementing the project «KarIU – the territory of a healthy lifestyle», within the framework of which bright sports competitions, sports competitions, health festivals and many interesting events are held.

The main goal of the project is to assess the level of cohesion, sports readiness of students, as well as the formation of a healthy lifestyle among students.

According to 1st year students, «Such events contribute to the improvement of the sports skills of the participants and the development of team spirit.»

All sports events were held outdoors at the Metallurg stadium in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements.

The competitions were of a health-improving nature under the motto:

«#We_are_a_healthy_way_of_life»

Traditionally, on September 1, on the Day of Knowledge, an organizational meeting with freshmen is held at the Karaganda Industrial University.  The new academic year was no exception to the rule.  Today, Alma Mater of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev hospitably opened its doors to more than 800 students from all regions of Kazakhstan.

During the event, in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological standards, a single curatorial hour “Let’s get to know” was held for our students, where freshmen were familiarized with the university leadership, with the history and activities of our university, the profile of faculties, departments and divisions, the prospects for their development,  familiarization with the information and technical base of KarIU, classrooms, educational buildings, laboratories, a library and a reading room, the academic calendar for 2021 – 2022 academic years, with the internal regulations of KarIU students, the Code of Academic Integrity of Students, with the rules of ethics for students, staff and teaching staff of KarIU  , information on the COVID-19 vaccination program and vaccine safety, and received fire safety training.  At the end of the curatorial hour, all students visited the KarIU history museum.

In addition, from September 1 at the Karaganda Industrial University, the Freshman Week was launched, which will allow incoming students to adapt, socialize, join a new team and student life.  During the adaptation week, seminars-presentations, a Health Festival and excursions to the city history and local history museum, winter garden, historical and cultural center of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held for newly-minted students.

We can say with confidence that our freshmen are the best graduates of schools in Turkestan, Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Almaty, Mangistau regions, Temirtau and all districts of our region.

Dear freshmen!  We congratulate you on your admission to our university and are confident that upon graduation from our university you will become qualified specialists.  Student years are the brightest and most memorable.  You have four years of student life ahead of you, in which there will be lectures and seminars, scientific conferences and sports, exciting events and festivals, competitions, debates and much more.

Organizational meeting of first-year students of KarIU!!!

Dear first-year students! Tomorrow, on September 1, 2021, traditional organizational meetings dedicated to the beginning of the new 2021-2022 academic year will be held at the Karaganda Industrial University.

The meetings will be held according to the following schedule:

1. According to the Faculty of Economics and Construction

At 10: 00 am, the auditorium of the new building is 306 for the following training areas / specialties:

– Business Economics;

– Accounting and audit in entrepreneurship;

– Economics of a financial organization;

– Management in the field of entrepreneurship.

At 11: 00 am, the auditorium of the new building is 306 for the following training areas / specialties:

– Industrial and civil construction.

2. According to the Faculty of “Energy, Transport and Management Systems”

At 11: 00 am, the auditorium of the main building is 301 for the following training areas / specialties:

– Software Engineering;

– Heat power engineering of industrial enterprises and housing and communal services facilities;

– Energy supply of industrial facilities;

– Engineering of automation systems;

– Technological equipment of the industry

– Lifting and transport, construction and road vehicles

3. According to the Faculty of Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering

At 10: 00 am, the auditorium of the main building is 313 for the following training areas / specialties:

– Technology of pharmaceutical production.

At 11: 00 am, the auditorium of the main building is 313 for the following training areas / specialties:

– Materials science and technologies of new materials;

– Forging and stamping production in mechanical engineering;

– Metal processing by pressure;

– Metallurgy (Metallurgy of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals);

– Standardization, metrology and certification;

– Industrial, environmental and fire safety;

– Chemical technology of organic substances.

The organizational meeting will be held in compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological norms.
