Ways to protect against false preachers on the Internet
Internet technologies have numerous advantages, starting with their unique suitability for the exchange of information and ideas, which is one of the universally recognized fundamental human rights. However, it should also be recognized that the same technologies that facilitate such communication can be used for the purposes of false evangelists. The use of the Internet both creates problems and opens up new opportunities in the fight against terrorism of relative anonymity, quickly and effectively crossing state borders Technology is one of the strategic factors contributing to the increasing use of the Internet by terrorist organizations and their supporters to solve a wide range of tasks, including recruitment, financing, propaganda, training of perpetrators, incitement to commit acts of terrorism, as well as the collection and dissemination of information for terrorist purposes. More and more people in our republic began to use Internet resources in search of information and various materials of a religious nature. However, not all the information posted on the world Wide Web corresponds to its reliability, this also applies to the content of religious sites, therefore, for the safety of our citizens, we recommend visiting only the Internet resources of social state bodies and religious associations. Rules of safe behavior in social networks • Protect your privacy do not specify passwords, phone numbers, addresses, date of birth and other personal information on the social network. • When registering on a social network, it is necessary to use complex passwords consisting of letters and numbers and with at least 8 characters. • Try not to indicate the place of study, financial situation, character traits and stories about loved ones, all this accumulates online. • Think before publishing and transmitting something on your blog or social network. • Do not post or indicate information that may offend or offend someone. • Do not rush into battle. To get reliable information about religion, contact imams and clergymen. • Do not listen to and in no case, post lectures and audio recordings of unknown religious preachers on your personal page on social networks • If you or your family have suffered from the influence of destructive religious organizations, you should contact the center’s helpline. • If a contact does happen, you should ignore the annoying user and not communicate with him, block the suspicious contact; complain to the administrator of the social network about the user. In social networks, you should be picky in choosing friends. Before adding them, you should read the information about them, ask what they write on their pages. It is on the Internet that it is easiest to influence a person’s psyche without arousing absolutely no suspicion. It is in the network that it is easiest to get acquainted and ingratiate yourself with trust. Social networks provide extremist organizations with great advantages for involving young people in their ranks. This includes ease of access to information, independence from geographical location, unlimited potential audience, and small financial and material costs. In conclusion, I would like to note that most terrorist and extremist organizations use the latest achievements of scientific and technological progress in their activities. The speed of using various types of communication tools in the criminal environment is extremely high, therefore, it is necessary to carry out constant preventive work with the population, with regard to security on the Internet. This is a form of both conversations and public lectures in educational institutions, as well as social videos on social networks that will spread quite quickly. In addition, it is necessary to regularly conduct sociological surveys of the population about awareness of the methods of terrorism, extremism and other crimes in cyberspace, how to deal with them and already on the basis of these surveys to build corrective measures to work with the population or conduct Actions among the population. Special attention should be paid to the younger generation, since information disseminated by extremist organizations and terrorists on the Internet can cause irreparable harm to their moral development and socialization, as well as to the older generation, in order to prevent them from falling into the tricks of fraudsters and terrorists in cyberspace. These methods are one of the solutions to such complex and multifaceted problems.
