At Karaganda Industrial University, a meeting of graduate students studying in the specialties «Automation and Control» and «Electric Power Industry» with one of the main employers in the field of industrial automation – KAZPROM AVTOMATIKA LLP took place. The meeting was organized by the departments of «Artificial Intelligence Technologies» and «Power Engineering».
The meeting was devoted to the issues of students of the Karaganda Industrial University passing industrial and pre-graduate practice on the basis of «KAZPROM AVTOMATIKA» LLP. During the meeting, representatives of KAZPROM AVTOMATIKA LLP familiarized students with the directions of the company’s work, career opportunities and becoming a professional in the chosen industry.
After completion, the students were able to receive the company’s booklets for a detailed acquaintance with the fields of activity, the advantages of working in «KAZPROM AVTOMATIKA» LLP.
«KAZPROM AVTOMATIKA» LLP performs the entire range of work on the design, creation and maintenance of automatic and automated control systems and control of technological processes, which includes the following main areas: design, industrial IT systems, supply of automation components, integrated and operational engineering.
 
On December 14, 2021, on the basis of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, in an online format on the Zoom site, a guest lecture was held for students of the educational programs «Software Engineering», «Automation Systems Engineering» and «Artificial Intelligence Technologies» and the specialties «Automation and Control» and «Computer Engineering and Software». Ramazan Abdrasilov, Senior Expert of the Innovation Policy Section of the Department of Financial Technologies of the Committee of the Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) on regulation of financial services, acted as a speaker. The speaker introduced the students to the concepts of crowdfunding, mining, blockchain, the directions of development of the cryptocurrency market, and spoke about the opportunities for internships at the AIFC. During the lecture, the audience asked a lot of questions regarding the prospects of mining in Kazakhstan, the features of the functioning of the cryptocurrency market. The Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) plays a key role as a regional center for business and finance, linking the economies of Central Asia, the Caucasus, the EAEU, Western China, Mongolia, the Middle East and Europe. In the light of the global boom in the development of digital technologies, primarily financial ones, innovative technologies have become one of the priorities of the AIFC. AIFC Fintech is an integration point between innovation and new ideas, created to promote economic development in Central Asia. The mission of the AIFC is to bring together key players in the fintech ecosystem, international partners, experts, entrepreneurs, start-ups and technology projects to drive fintech development.
 
On December 11, the regional debate tournament “Bolashak Zhastary” was held in Karaganda, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
All universities of the Karaganda region took part in the debate tournament. There were 3 teams from our university. Which included the following students: Sakenkyzy Dana, Tleubek Arailym, Bakyt Nurai, Ilas Ybray, Nurlanuly Bakdaulet.
The head of the debate club Zhumali Nurikamal prepared our debaters for the tournament. According to the results of the debate tournament, our debaters showed very strong knowledge and a good game. Bakyt Nuray won in the «Uzdik Speaker» nomination.
The winners were awarded with diplomas and prizes. Congratulations to the winners and we wish you further victories!
 
Karaganda Industrial University hosted 2 guest lectures for students of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th courses, as well as students of the Technical and economic college. The first lecture was held for students with Kazakh language of instruction, and the second one was for students who study in Russian.
The first lecture for students studying under the educational programs «Software Engineering» and «Artificial Intelligence Technologies» was delivered by the web developer of JSC «Scientific Center for Anti-Infectious Drugs» Agenov Almat Tazhikhanovich. During the meeting, the speaker told the students about the design and development of StartUp projects, database design, WEB applications and integration with Front/mobile apps.
The second lecture, held for Russian-speaking groups of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, students of the educational programs «Software Engineering», «Automation Systems Engineering» and students of the graduate groups of the Technical and Economic College, studying in the specialty «Computer Engineering and Software», was devoted to the topic of video analytics. The speaker was the Acting Technical Director of LLP «Scientific and Production Association «Perspektiva» Kim Maxim Konstantinovich. He shared with the students the experience of the Scientific and Production Association Perspektiva LLP in the development of software and production of hardware solutions for the Safe City systems.
Video analytics is a technology that uses computer vision methods to automatically obtain various data based on the analysis of a sequence of images coming from video cameras in real time or from archival recordings.
Video analytics is a software (software) for working with video content. The software is based on a set of machine vision algorithms that allow video monitoring and data analysis without direct human involvement. Video analytics functions are successfully used to solve the problems of recognizing numbers (on transport, on banknotes, documents, etc.), detecting events (movements, movements, crossing permissible lines and borders, being in zones, throwing objects over fences, etc. detection of dangerous situations (crowds of people, abandoned objects, fires and smoke, etc.), recognition of human faces and their search in databases.
   
The team of Karaganda Industrial University won a brilliant victory today and took second place in the regional poetic battle dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Our team includes talented first-year students Tleubek Arailym, Kundebai Nursezim, Zharylhasyn Myrzakhmet, Sharapat Aknur.
During the competition, our students demonstrated their creative abilities, it should be noted that there are many talented first-year students. The team members compose poems themselves, know the works of many poets by heart.
We congratulate our students on a worthy victory! We wish them further creative success, new achievements and discoveries.
On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, each victory of our students replenishes the piggy bank of achievements of our university. We are proud of you!
