In accordance with the Anti-Corruption Plan of the Karaganda Industrial University, within the framework of the “Sanaly urpaq” project, a methodical week of the school of integrity and the student club “Sanali Urpak” is held at the university.
Within the framework of this event, an online consultation was held for students with the head of the legal support sector of KarIU Shalbarbaev O.M. on providing assistance and improving legal literacy within the framework of “Adal Komek”. The purpose of the event was to consult on the basic laws, the foundations of the state system, awareness of their rights, the formation of the concept of responsibility, the development of an educational grant.
Students were interested in some questions that they decided to hold the same consultations in the future.
As part of the weeks of functional literacy in the Karaganda region, a week of a healthy lifestyle was held
among students of TVET in our college, during which various events were held. The week began with a bright
challenge prepared by first-year students. Further, a video contest was organized to promote a healthy lifestyle
and physical education, competitions in various sports. The sports week was completed by an interesting
Spartakiad among students of the Technical and Economic College at the Karaganda Industrial
University. Among the college groups, the seats were distributed as follows:
K-21 -1 place,
E-21- 2nd place,
S&A-21- 3rd place,
T-21 — 4th place
All these activities were carried out with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle among young people.
Within the framework of the methodological week of the school of integrity and the student club «Sanaly Urpak» in accordance with the Anti-Corruption Plan of the Karaganda Industrial University, within the framework of the «Sanaly urpaq» project, curatorial hours were held with students of 1.2 courses to explain the principles of the Code of Academic Integrity and the norms of the Rules of Ethics when passing the session.
Students of KarIU, realizing that in the conditions of growing acute professional competition, demand in the labor market is impossible without observing the principles of academic honesty and standards of integrity, take into account to be an example of intelligence, integrity and culture in relations with others, both within the walls of the university and beyond.
At the curatorial hours, the goals and objectives of the Code of Academic Integrity and the Code of Ethics of KarIU were explained, the main provisions of both documents, types of responsibility and the procedure for applying penalties for violations were considered in detail.
Students listened attentively, asked questions of interest on the session, on the principles of academic honesty.
At the Karaganda Industrial University, as part of the methodological week at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering, open classes were held using the virtual simulator «Steel smelting in an oxygen converter of 360 tons from the upper purge». Classes were conducted by master of metallurgy, senior representative of the department «Metallurgy and materials science» Pikalova I.A. for students studying in the educational programs «Metallurgy of ferrous metals» and «Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals».
The purpose of this lesson was to familiarize students with the converter device and source materials in the production of steel, to teach students to smelt steel in the converter using a virtual model (Steel smelting in the converter)
The Department of Science, Innovation and International Cooperation organized a meeting with students who studied under the academic mobility program of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the Czestochowa Polytechnic University, Poland for 1 semester.
Students of 1-2 courses from all faculties of KarIU were invited to the meeting. Students-applicants for participation in the academic mobility program asked questions regarding the necessary documents, the selection procedure, the competition commission, study and residence in Poland.
Students participating in the program shared their experience of studying abroad and inspired freshmen and sophomores to try their hand and participate in the competition.
