A first-year student of the Karaganda Industrial University of the TPP-20k-4 group Musilim Aruzhan Zhaksylykyzy became the winner of the republican competition «The Best Student of the Year – 2020».

The main purpose of this competition is to identify the best significant innovative projects of young scientists, to identify and encourage students among all universities in the country who have most actively shown themselves in research work, creativity, student self-government, sports and the creation of a unifying platform for the development of science and education.

The best students of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in this project. The competition was organized by the National Innovation Research Center «Bіlіm órkenıetі».

«To participate, you had to submit your autobiography and photos, as well as copies of diplomas and letters of thanks for your active work,» said Aruzhan Musilim. – Documents were accepted in three languages – Kazakh, Russian and English.

2020 was a difficult year for the whole world, the pandemic made its own adjustments in the life of Kazakhstanis, but, despite the difficulties, we overcame the problems as a united team and came to the end of the year with brilliant results and achievements.

The main event of the outgoing academic year was the successful completion of state accreditation by our university in all educational programs, we inaugurated the Nazarbayev Hall, the Digital Technologies competence center, the coworking center, the enrollment of applicants was significantly increased, we achieved high employment rates, our students became winners city, regional and republican competitions and this is not a complete list of our successes in 2020.

Behind all these results is the work of the entire team, only together we can bring our university to a new level of development!

For active participation and development of volunteering, assistance in holding events both on a university and city scale, a second year student of the Karaganda Industrial University Askarov Bekzhan was awarded a letter of gratitude from the Akim of Temirtau, as one of the best volunteers of our city! The volunteer movement at KarIU is actively developing, the students of our university are participants in the republican procuses «Social student loan», and Askarov Bekzhan is one of the brightest participants in the volunteer movement of the university.

In May 2020, the Karaganda Industrial University published a collection of essays and articles dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War “The glory of those great years will not cease”, the result of the joint work of the universities of the two Caspian states – Astrakhan State Technical and Karaganda State Industrial, which became a tribute to the memory of the heroes who won the Great Patriotic War.

Creative cooperation between the two universities began with the international online teleconference “Moscow-Astrakhan-Karaganda-Temirtau”, held on the eve of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Victory. In addition to the great date, which was widely celebrated in 2020 in both countries, the correspondence meeting was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Hero of the Soviet Union Nurken Abdirov, which resulted in a mutual decision to publish a collection of essays and reports. Thus, the book includes memories of the participants in the war – Astrakhan and Kazakhstanis, photographs from the personal archives of the participants of the online teleconference.

During the meeting, it was also stated that the successfully developing and constantly expanding Russian-Kazakh relations in the scientific research field contribute to the strengthening of relations and mutual understanding between our countries and peoples in general, create a favorable climate for the implementation of important bilateral projects in various fields.

In December 2020, a series of articles and publications in the media of the Astrakhan region about the fruitful cooperation between the two universities was published.
