An online meeting with university students on the organization of the educational process in the spring semester was held at KarIU 2020-2021 academic year

Today, 01.13.2021, Karaganda Industrial University held two online meetings of students and undergraduates of the university with the leadership of KarIU on the organization of the educational process in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year, taking into account the restrictive measures related to preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.

Within the framework of the meetings, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Galina Aleksandrovna Sivyakova, Director of the Department for Academic Policy Elena Mikhailovna Kharchenko, Director of the Department for Educational Work and Youth Policy Madina Meyramovna Salpenova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Construction Aldabaeva Asem Eginbaevna gave a detailed explanation on the organization the educational process (lectures, laboratory and practical classes), students undergoing pre-diploma practice, as well as the rules of living in the university hostel and comprehensively answered all the students’ questions. Let us recall that for students and undergraduates of KarIU, temporary restrictions are introduced for training and internships within the framework of the foreign academic mobility program. Students have the opportunity to continue their studies in a distance format on the basis of their application, if there are signs of COVID-19, pulmonary pneumonia or other viral diseases, subject to consideration of these applications at a meeting of the quality assurance committees of the relevant faculties and the University’s Academic Quality Committee. It is obligatory for KarIU students to wear medical masks during the entire period of their stay on the territory of the university, as well as to observe the sanitary regime and social distance of 2 meters.

More than 100 university students took part in the meetings. Similar events to clarify the issues of organizing the educational process in the spring semester are planned for January 14, 2021 at 11:00 and January 16, 2020 at 10:00.

Karaganda Industrial University strongly supports its students during the quarantine period, and most importantly, our university is aimed at ensuring that all students, regardless of the form of study, successfully master the curriculum of the course and successfully pass the exams.

Dear students!

We invite you to take an active part in the republican project “Social student loan”. This project is aimed at developing volunteering among students.

In order to stimulate students for their active participation in volunteer activities, the following types of incentives are established:

1) social student loan for 20,000 tenge;

2) social student loan for 50,000 tenge.

Loans are provided to students engaged in socially oriented, socially useful activities in the following areas:

1) inclusive education;

2) tutoring (languages, computer literacy), online format;

3) work with minor children of deviant behavior;

4) organization of courtyard and sports clubs;

5) social work with children, the elderly and the disabled;

6) work in the field of environmental protection and ecological safety, preservation of objects of historical and cultural heritage;

7) participation in the work of public and private healthcare organizations, and other social organizations that provide services to patients, the elderly and the disabled;

8) participation in the work of local youth resource centers during republican and city events with volunteers;

9) assistance in work to persons engaged in tourist activities in organizing excursion activities (visits to museums, libraries and other attractions of the city) in order to develop tourism;

10) assistance in organizing international events (forums, Universiades, festivals, sports days);

11) work in an animal shelter.

A voucher for 20,000 tenge is provided for 20 hours of activity. At the same time, students have the right to offset two academic credits determined by the organization of higher and (or) postgraduate education.

A voucher for 50,000 tenge is provided for 50 hours of activity. At the same time, students have the right to offset five academic credits determined by the organization of higher and (or) postgraduate education.

The maximum number of hours of activity and voucher academic credits in a fiscal year cannot exceed 70 hours and seven academic credits, respectively.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS IN THE SPRING SEMESTER OF THE 2020-2021 ACADEMIC YEAR IN NJSC “KARAGANDA INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY”

Attention! Information on the organization of the educational process in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year at the NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University»

The organization of the educational process in NJSC «Karaganda Industrial University» is carried out in accordance with the established teaching load, educational programs, working curricula and academic calendar for the 2020-2021 academic year.

For 1st year students of all educational programs of the university, blended learning is provided (lectures and seminars – online, laboratory and practical classes in full-time format, subject to a sanitary regime and a social distance of 2 meters) in the period from 01.25.2021. until 05.29.2021.

For students of 2, 3 courses of educational programs «Economics», «Accounting and Audit» «Management», «Computers and Software» , «Life Safety and Environmental Protection», «Software Engineering», «Economics of a financial organization», « Accounting and audit in entrepreneurship», «Industrial, environmental and fire safety», full distance learning is maintained in the period from 01.25.2021. until 05.29.2021

For students of 2, 3 courses of educational programs «Metallurgy», «Automation and control», «Construction», «Electric power», «Heat power», «Technological machines and equipment», «Mechanical engineering», «Technology of processing materials by pressure», «Transport, transport equipment and technologies», «Chemical technology of organic substances», «Materials science and technology of new materials», «Power supply of industrial facilities», «Metallurgy of ferrous metals», «Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals», «Processing of materials by pressure», «Forging and stamping production in MS», «Engineering of automation systems», « Technological equipment of industry», «Hoisting-and-transport and road-building machines», «Industrial and civil construction» provides training in a mixed format with the observance of social distance and increased sanitary measures in the period from 25.01.2021 until 05.29.2021 Scheduled.

For 4th year students of all educational programs in the period from 01.25.2021. until 04.03.2021 passing undergraduate practice in a mixed format.

For graduate and doctoral students of all educational programs in the period from 01.02.2021. until 05.29.2021 blended learning is envisaged, including practical exercises, NIRM, EIRM (according to the individual plans of students) in full-time format with respect to social distance and enhanced sanitary measures, theoretical training in a distance format.

Restrictions are introduced for foreign academic mobility and internships.
