1st year students take an active part in competitions held by the scientific and methodological center «Ustaz tilegi». 4 victories have been added to the student achievements piggy bank this week. A student of the TPP-20k-3 group Bektas Ayazhan received a 3rd degree diploma for winning the blitz tournament for knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan.

Ayazhan also became the owner of the special prize of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was awarded a certificate for participation in the 3rd republican distance Olympiad in the history of Kazakhstan named after Ermukhan Bekmakhanuly – the first Kazakh doctor of historical sciences. The Olympiad was held on the basis of the Qaztest.kz platform.

Students of the TPP-20k-2 group Zhienbek Sabina, Zhagabek Merey and Arkinova Uldana distinguished themselves during the blitz tournament, also organized by the scientific and methodological center «Ustaz tilegi», with excellent knowledge and high thinking, for which she was awarded 1st place. According to the terms of online blitz, participants must collect the maximum possible number of points in a short time. Contestants, in addition to knowledge, must also have a quick reaction and a sharp mind.

The victory of our students in such competitions shows their desire to acquire new knowledge.

On March 4, 2021, the teachers of the Department of Natural and Scientific Disciplines held an Olympiad for 11th grade schoolchildren of the city’s schools. The goal of the Olympiad is to identify students who demonstrate deep knowledge and skills, the ability to solve non-standard problems that require an individual approach and a logical vision of the subject. According to the results of the Olympiad, the winners and prize-winners will be given a discount for the first year of study at KarIU: 30% for the first place, 20% for the second, and 10% for the third. The tasks of the Olympiad included questions about the school curriculum, and were also aimed at successfully passing the UNT.

In KarIU, on a systematic basis, courses are held to prepare for the UNT for schoolchildren of the city. The six-month courses began in October 2020, and the three-month courses will begin in March this year. Courses are held in reading literacy (Russian), mathematics, physics, history of Kazakhstan. As the trainees of the courses themselves note, they receive a lot of new knowledge, and practical tasks allow them to better prepare for passing the UNT. The courses are taught by experienced teachers.

Our university is actively working to expand international relations. To this end, the Department of International Cooperation of KarIU is working to assist in the participation of students and undergraduates in ERASMUS + programs and other programs. For this, the department conducts various training seminars and master classes that help our students to pass competitive selection for participation in international programs.

Including for university admission or job interviews. One of the important points is the correct preparation of a motivation letter.

A motivation letter is an essay in which a candidate for study talks about why he wants to study at a specific university in a specific specialty. The task is to convince the selection committee to choose you among other candidates. In the admission requirements, it is called a motivation letter, personal statement or statement of purpose. A letter of motivation is usually required for admission to some postgraduate programs (master’s, doctoral), is included in the package of documents for a grant or scholarship. A letter is written in the language in which the training will take place.

The Department of International Cooperation of KarIU conducts a master class and successful interviews for students and undergraduates on the correct preparation of a motivation letter.

The master class is held by the Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA) with the support of the European Union in Kazakhstan!

On March 4, 2021, the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Center for International Programs JSC, held an interactive meeting «30 successful graduates of the Bolashak presidential scholarship» within the framework of the Elbasy Library project «Uly Dala tarlaadary».

The interactive meeting is timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and International Women’s Day on March 8.

The honorary guests of the event were the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aimagambetov A.K., Head of the Department of Internal Policy of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.O. Mauberlinova, deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On behalf of the staff of our university, Rector Zhautikov Bakhyt Akhatovich greeted the participants of the meeting. In his speech, he noted the importance and significance of cooperation between the Karaganda Industrial University and the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Every year for five years, our successful and active students are regular participants in the unique social and educational project «Ideas that change the world», implemented by the library of the First President.

Bakhyt Akhatovich also noted that our students, undergraduates, teachers on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation, have access to databases of a number of world publishing houses and lectures of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in leading universities of the world and are preparing to participate in the «Bolashak».

During the event, successful graduates of the presidential scholarship «Bolashak» presented their projects: Omarbaeva N.A., Mamutova A.T., Gazdieva B.A., Shakulikova G.T., Mektepbaeva D.K., Mun I.A. At the dawn of independence in 1993, by the decree of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy N. A. Nazarbayev, the Bolashak International Scholarship became one of the most important «breakthrough projects» of the republic aimed at the formation of a competitive nation. Today, more than 11 thousand specialists who received education under the Bolashak program work in priority sectors of the country’s economy, implementing their scientific developments and projects in the field of education, healthcare, culture, science and technology.

Participants of the meeting from among the students had the opportunity to ask questions to the scholars of the Bolashak program, the guests of honor of the event.
