Gifts from Santa Claus arrived in the CAS
In the course of the charity event “Gift from Santa Claus”, in which students, teachers and leaders of the Karaganda State Industrial University took an active part, 54 sets of underwear, socks, tights, t-shirts, pajamas, as well as sweets for all pupils of the Adaptation Center for Minors Temirtau (ACM).
Last Monday, December 25, representatives of the volunteer center “Kamkor” at KSIU, dressed up in Santa Claus costumes, Snow Maiden and clowns, went to the children with presents and a concert program. Together with them representatives of the management of the university and the trade union committee went to the ACM.
Members of the volunteer center “Kamkor” and the Committee for Youth of the KSIU have been initiators of the action for several years. Actively responding to the appeal, students and teachers collect money, for which sweets and necessary things are then purchased.
The choice of the ACM is made consciously. Here there are children aged 2 to 17 years from disadvantaged families, which the guardianship authorities took away from drinking parents. Before the court decision, girls and boys live in the Center for 1-2 months, after which they are distributed to orphanages in Kazakhstan. Many children do not have clothes, so the center’s staff asked the KSIU volunteers to buy specific items.
Hasten to do good deeds and give joy to those who need it! The leadership, teachers and students of KSIU are able to do this.
