Students of KSIU took part in the teleconference “There is such a profession – geologist”, which was held on February 12 in the Interuniversity Academic Navigation Center in the field of mining and geology profile on the basis of the State Geological Museum named by Vernadsky Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Academy of Mining Sciences.
One of the priority activities of the Interuniversity Academic Navigation Center in the field of mining and geology is the implementation of the project on the formation of a communication platform for the development of a continuous system of education for children and youth in the field of geology and nature management, education of an ecological outlook, vocational guidance for mining specialties -Geological and oil and gas profile. As part of this direction, the Center regularly conducts online broadcasts of lectures and master classes on the premises of its own professional recording studio equipped with the most modern equipment. It should be noted that during the teleconference, the quality of the connection (this concerns both images and sound) was excellent.
An introductory speech was given to the head of the Interuniversity Academic Navigation Center for Mining and Geological Profiles, deputy director of the GGM RAS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor Asa Titova and President of the GGM RAS, President of the Academy of Mining Sciences, Academician Yuri Malyshev. Then the chairman of the Political Party “Fair Russia”, the head of the faction “Fair Russia” in the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the chairman of the Board of Trustees GGM RAS Sergey Mironov told about the profession of the geologist.
Participants in the teleconference were students of higher and secondary special educational institutions, as well as representatives of leading commodity companies. The teleconference was attended by representatives of Russian universities of the cities: Almetyevsk, Arkhangelsk, Belgorod, Vladivostok, Grozny, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kemerovo, Magadan, Moscow, Novokuznetsk, Novocherkassk, Norilsk, Prokopyevsk and Rostov-on-Don, as well as the Republic of Sakha. Representatives of Kyrgyzstan also came to the connection.
Among the participants from Kazakhstan, in addition to students from the Karaganda State Industrial University, there were representatives of the Aktyubinsk Technical University named by Baisheva, Mining and Metallurgical Institute named by Baikonurova, KazNITU named by K.I.Satpayev, KSTU, Kyzylorda State University named by Korkyt Ata, Nazarbayev University, National Academy of Mining Sciences and many others.
