On December 5, KSIU held a regular meeting of 1-3 year students of KSIU with representatives of the center for the prevention and control of AIDS and other infectious diseases, as well as representatives of the epidemiological surveillance department of the public health department of Temirtau.

The lecture devoted to the World Day to Combat AIDS and healthy lifestyles for university students was read by the teacher – psychologist of the AIDS center Starozhukova Elena Borisovna and the chief specialist of the epidemiological supervision department of the public health department Rasovskaya Daria Evgenienva.

The main objective of the event was to attract the attention of students to the problem of HIV / AIDS, change their attitude to this problem and develop a value attitude to their health, since the urgency of the problem of HIV / AIDS lies in the fact that the spread of this epidemic affects all spheres of society and concerns everyone from U.S. Indeed, in our time, AIDS is one of the global problems of all mankind.

In the opinion of our students, the meeting was informative and useful, such events help them to orient themselves in the problems of the real world.

At the end of the meeting, the doctors noted the importance of holding such events with the students of our university, thanked the leadership of the university for organizing these meetings, distributed information booklets and reminded the students of the address of the AIDS Center and the Temirtau Consultative and Diagnostic Skin-Venereological Department where anonymous screening for viruses and infections.

In addition, the Temirtau City AIDS Center organized a mobile mobile laboratory on the KSIU platform, where everyone could take anonymous express testing for HIV / AIDS in 5 minutes.

As part of the implementation of the action plan for the implementation of the program “Ruhani zangyru”, on December 7, 2018, the teachers of the “Kazakh, Russian and foreign languages” department together with KSIU students held a flash mob campaign “Karaoke in Latin”. The song of the famous Kazakh composer Sh. Kaldayakova “Arys zhagasynda” was performed, at the same time the words familiar to everyone, but with an unusual textual accompaniment, were written on the screen of the electronic board on the Latin script.

“Karaoke is loved by many if not all, and when learning a language it is one of the most effective ways of getting used to it,” explained Myrzakhanova Ainur Temirbulatovna, teacher of the KRFL department, “you can sing at least roughly, knowing the laws of reading”.

Chosen songs are popular and loved, and therefore it is easier to adapt to the new graphics of the Kazakh language and remember the differences between specific letters. This is a visual training and there is already an effect from it.

On December 4, 2018, on the basis of the Karaganda State Industrial University, ARQA Independent Agency for Accreditation and Examination of the Quality of Education held a seminar on the explanation of the principles and methods of accreditation for higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In order to tell all the details of this process, Kuderina Ayzhan Ermekovna, Director of the Department of Accreditation of Universities of “ARQA” Agency, arrived at KSIU with a working visit.

The purpose of the activity of “ARQA” is the organizational and technical support of the procedures for institutional and specialized accreditation of educational organizations, the development of standards and criteria for accreditation, conducting ratings of universities and technical and professional educational organizations.

The seminar was attended by deans of faculties, heads of departments, heads of departments and faculty of KSIU.

During the seminar, participants were explained the main provisions of the standards of specialized accreditation of the “ARQA” agency, the principles and organization of external evaluation of the university and their educational programs, and also made recommendations on preparing for the upcoming accreditation, in particular, on the internal evaluation of the university required reporting.

In addition, the expert Aizhan Yermekovna paid special attention to the construction of an internal university system for ensuring the quality of educational programs of the university.
