STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF KSIU TOOK AN ACTIVE PART IN THE ELECTION OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
On June 9, extraordinary elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place. Students and teachers of our university took an active part in the elections, thereby showing an active citizenship
On election day, a polling station located in Karaganda State Industrial University was visited by an observer from the Commonwealth of Independent States, a graduate of our university, Honorary Professor of KSIU Oleg Nikolaevich Soskovets.
Oleg Nikolayevich is known to everyone, at the moment he is the head of the Russian Union of Commodity Producers, he is the chairman of the Association of Financial and Industrial Groups, and in the past was the first deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Minister of Ferrous Metallurgy of the USSR.
The activities of Oleg Nikolayevich are closely connected with the city of metallurgists. In 1971, after graduating from the HTEI (KGSU) at Karmetkombinat, he passed the labor path from the worker to the general director of the plant. Having moved to Russia, Oleg Soskovets continues to forge close ties between the two states.
“I want to note a high degree of preparation for the elections,” noted Oleg Nikolaevich, having familiarized himself with the course of the elections and saw the high activity of the voters.
The active citizenship was also shown by students of KSIU, who are studying under the “Serpin” program, who came from other regions of Kazakhstan. Madiyar Karibzhan, a future process engineer, believes that early elections are a unique opportunity to vote for your candidate: “Today, like other young people, I came here to cast my vote. For me, this is a big event. ”
Temirtau citizens noted the special festive atmosphere that prevailed at the polling station at our university; the tone was set by the performances of the creative youth of the city of Temirtau.
