On December 9, 2019 to the International day of fight against corruption in Karaganda state industrial university for the purpose of formation of anti-corruption consciousness among youth of integrity, and also increase of anti-corruption culture of students of 1-3 courses the uniform curatorial hour “Parasattylyk sagattary” with representatives of university student club “Sanaly Urpak” and faculty of discipline “bases of the right and integrity” was held.

The main purpose of this event was the formation of anti-corruption Outlook, education of honesty, compliance with the principles of academic honesty, spiritual and moral values.

Within the framework of the unified curatorial hours, the winner of the regional competition, the first-year student of our university Askarov Bekzhan “the way to the top” spoke and acquainted with the project on the theme “map of corruption crimes”.

On December 6, 2019, Karaganda industrial university hosted the opening of the school of integrity with the participation of honored guests of the Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on combating corruption Alik Zhatkambayevich Shpekbayev, akim of Karaganda region Zhenis Makhmudovich Kasymbek, akim of Temirtau city Galym Abikhanovich Ashimov.

The purpose of opening a School of integrity: the formation of anti-corruption models of behavior in the student youth environment and training of young members of the anti-corruption movement the new formation and improvement of academic and research activities of our university.

The educational process in the School of integrity will be built on a combination of collective and individual forms of education, creative atmosphere, continuous interaction between participants and lecturers and coaches.

“The opening of integrity schools in universities is one of the most striking and large-scale projects of the anti-corruption agency.

Our university actively cooperates with the Department of the agency for Karaganda region to comply with the principles of integrity and transparency and all activities of our university is based on these principles. Today we are opening a School of integrity, which will become a resource center for the university and other organizations of Temirtau”, – said the rector of the university Bakhyt Akhatovich Zhautikov.

As a result of the work of the School of integrity, students will receive certificates confirming their theoretical knowledge about corruption and new mechanisms of combating this social evil that hinders the development of the state.

University students who participated in the opening ceremony of the School, asked the question Alik Zhatkambaevich. In particular, 1st year student Askarov Bekzhan raised the issue of formation of anti-corruption outlook of youth, which should begin in the family.

Students were also interested in the application of existing international standards in the field of combating corruption in the development of anti-corruption strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Students of Karaganda industrial university are active participants of all events held by akimats of Karaganda region and Temirtau aimed at forming zero tolerance to corruption

At the school of integrity, the student youth will, first of all, acquaint with regulatory and legislative acts. In addition, all participants during the training course will develop team projects under the guidance of experienced professionals, will be able to develop their creative and critical thinking skills by solving problems in various simulated situations.

We are confident that the activities of the school will be aimed at the development of new mechanisms to combat corruption, which hinders the development of our state.

On December 5, 2019, Karaganda state industrial university hosted a round table dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the first Kazakh steel, its origins and development. The event was organized by the Department of Metallurgy and mechanical engineering under the leadership of the head of the Department Nurumgaliyev Asylbek Khabadashevich.

The guests of honor of the round table were Zhanibekov Manat Abdrakhmanovich – steelworker of open-hearth shop №2, winner of the state prize KAZ.SSR, a student of the first hero of socialist labor Eleman Baigaziev, Amenov Abu Sadvakasovich-Metallurgist engineer, Deputy head of the KCC, Filippov Gennady Egorovich-chief engineer of long-range rolling production (LRP), an active participant in the development of the project of the (LRP) CCM; Gabdullin Utegen Gabdullaevich – head of open-hearth shop № 2, head of internal audit of JSC “Arcelor Mittal Temirtau” of the largest metallurgical enterprise in Kazakhstan.

The round table was opened by honored Metallurgist Utegen Gabdullaevich Gabdullin, reminding all participants of the event that this year marks exactly 75 years since the release of the first Kazakh steel – this is a truly significant historical event that occupies a special place in the annals of the metallurgical industry of the country. It happened on the very eve of the victorious 1945-December 31, 1944. December 30, 1944 began loading the open-hearth furnace. Nine hours workers loaded 30 tons of metal charge manually! And on December 31, 1944, the first open-hearth furnace of the Kazakh metallurgical plant gave the first steel! This was the date of birth of the Kazakh metallurgical plant and the beginning of the history of domestic ferrous metallurgy. Few people knew about the plant, there was no city of Temirtau yet, but Kazakh steel was already used for the production of weapons and military equipment, bringing Victory in the great Patriotic war closer.

During the event, each of the veteran Steelworkers, a participant of the anniversary smelting shared his personal history related to the first steelmaking, our University and metallurgical plant.

The guests demonstrated presentation material, photos of famous steelmakers, honored metallurgists, the main bright events and a video dedicated to the first steel of Kazakhstan’s Magnitogorsk.

Veteran of the plant Utegen Gabdullin had a chance to work together with Eleman Baigaziev. The former head of the open-hearth shop remembers this man with undisguised admiration. “…Eleman Baigaziev was a mentor of the school of high-speed steelmaking, the initiator of the movement “Melting friendship”, participated in many international melting, glorifying the city of Temirtau and the Republic. For his heroic work, in 1958 Eleman Baigaziev became the first hero of Socialist Labor In our city, in 1959 – Honorary Metallurgist of the USSR, and in 1965 – Honored Metallurgist of the Kazakh SSR. He was awarded the order of Lenin and numerous medals…»

The round table was attended by veterans of labor, honored professors of Karaganda state industrial University Baigabatov Tuleutai Smakovich, Shishkin Yuri Ivanovich, Artykbayev Otepbergen Artykbaevich, Musin Dinislyam Karievich, Smailov Sagadat Amangeldievich and undergraduates of the specialty “metallurgy”.

Under the guidance of our teaching staff, not a single generation of highly qualified metallurgical personnel, specialists and professionals has been brought up.

Summing up, it was noted that modern Kazakhstan Magnitogorsk – the calling card of the Republic of Kazakhstan, recognized as a worldwide production base of the best characteristics of metal, which occupies the first place in the world steel production. Even at the end of 75 years – the metallurgical plant of Temirtau remains one of the largest mining and metallurgical enterprises not only in Kazakhstan, but also one of the best enterprises of JSC”Arcelor Mittal” on the world stage.

At the end of the event, veterans of metallurgical Magnitogorsk sincerely thanked the leadership of Karaganda state industrial university for a great opportunity to share their invaluable experience with the young generation of future metallurgists.

Of particular interest was the speech of the head of the Greek center “Pontos” Despina Ivanovna, who noted the importance of preserving ethnic and cultural traditions and work on the development of national cultures. She told the participants of the round table on culture and traditions of his people and shared their impressions about our city and its ethnic side, experience in the creation and development of the centre “Pontos” of all of the complexities of development, through which during the years of its existence had to go.

In our Republic there are many holidays that are associated with the unity of the peoples living in the country. One of them Is the day of spiritual consent. This is a day of unity and forgiveness, mercy and understanding. This day is important for all Kazakhstanis.

Summing up the event, Madina Salpenova stressed the importance of such meetings, which contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about the history and culture of the peoples of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the preservation and development of its ethnic and cultural diversity, as well as the harmonization of national and interethnic relations, because Kazakhstan is a secular state, and this principle is enshrined in the Constitution. Our Republic is not only a multinational, but also a multi-confessional society, so the huge moral potential of religion, tolerance play a consolidating role in the life of society.

All participants of the meeting came to a common opinion: peace, harmony, stability – our Golden heritage.

As part of the preventive work on December 4, 2019 on the platform of Karaganda state industrial university, a meeting of students living in dormitories with employees of the state fire control of Temirtau MES took place.

The purpose of the event is to discuss compliance with the basic safety rules in hostels, necessary to ensure the safety of all residents.

The meeting was attended by chief specialist MES Temirtau Rudnik Lyudmila Dmitrievna and senior engineer Sagyndykov Darkhan Serikovich, who told the participants about the causes of fires, the rules of use of primary fire extinguishing means, acquainted with the statistics of fires in Temirtau, the rules of use of communication and warning during a fire, types of fire extinguishers and the order of their use. The issue of fire safety at the facilities used as dormitories, where students of educational institutions live, is always under special control of the fire safety officers, since the dormitories are a place of mass and night stay of people, so it is very important that the fire safety rules are implemented in it.

During the conversation, the rules of behavior in the event of a fire were touched upon, the algorithm of evacuation was considered. The students were interested in this conversation, because it was about their personal safety.

Summing up, it was noted that knowledge and compliance with fire safety requirements is mandatory for all citizens, because their performance allows you to save life, health and property in an emergency. Only in this case, you can protect yourself from fire.
