As part of a 72-hour seminar for the faculty of the Karaganda Industrial University, lectures were given by the professor of the Istanbul Technical University (Turkey) Onuralp Yücel on the topic “Circular Economy”. Among the invited listeners were representatives of industrial enterprises such as «ArcelorMittal Temirtau» JSC, «ORKEN» LLP, «Tau-Ken Temir» LLP, ERG Capital Projects. Also, the seminars were attended by representatives of the Aktobe Regional University K. Zhubanov.

Recently, much attention has been paid to the issues of reducing emissions of harmful industrial waste, including for metallurgy, this issue is very relevant. The Turkish professor shared his experience in developing non-waste metallurgical production technologies that are used in Turkey. These technologies imply the construction of a system from different branches of knowledge, together aimed at creating a circular economy, which implies the use and processing of waste from the metallurgical industry.
