The luminary of Kazakh literature – Sherkhan Murtaza

On November 23 of this year, a literary evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of a public and political figure, editor-in-chief of the newspapers “Kazakh Adebieti” and “Socialist Kazakhstan” (later renamed into the newspaper “Egemen Kazakhstan”) – Sherkhan Murtaza was held at the Karaganda industrial university.
Sherkhan Murtaza is a native of Zhualy district of Zhambyl region, Soviet and Kazakh writer, public and political figure. People’s Writer of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Kazakh SSR. Laureate of the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR.
Speaking about the journalistic talent of the Kazakh writer, one thing can be said – his skillful command of the word allowed him to subsequently hold senior positions in the field of mass media and literature for many years and even head the State Broadcasting Committee.
As part of the literary evening, students of the Pharmaceutical production technology-2-20k group studied the biography and work of the People’s writer of Kazakhstan Sherkhan Murtaza, 15 vivid facts about his life were announced and special attention was paid to the study of the novel “Ai men Aisha”, dedicated to his mother.
All students spoke with great interest, proved the urgent need to study the treasury of Kazakh literature, showed great cognitive interest in the biography and work of Sherkhan Murtaza. All the current issues and the state of modern literature were also discussed.
Sherkhan Murtaza is a phenomenon in the world of Kazakh literature and a significant figure in journalism. He is still called the editor-in-chief of the editors-in-chief. His thirst for knowledge and rich life experience turned into vivid works that give food for thought, arouse great interest among readers and remain relevant to this day.
