Today, head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered a Message to the people of Kazakhstan, in which he announced initiatives aimed at solving the most pressing problems of the country. Priorities are qualitative improvement of the work of all sectors of the economy and improvement of the welfare of citizens.

The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan paid special attention to issues that play an important role in improving the quality of the nation – the education system, ranging from preschool to higher education. It was emphasized that kindergarten teachers need to improve their social status, wages, and approve specific requirements for specialists in this field: they are the ones who introduce the child to the world of knowledge. The great role of school teachers, who lay the basic knowledge in all subjects in children, educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and on the basis of universal moral values, was noted.
And, of course, the Head of State in his Message emphasized higher education, the need to improve its quality and accessibility for all the youth of the country. The President noted that as the quality of education in domestic universities improves, the cost of studying in them will also increase. The state plans to allocate educational grants, which will be differentiated in size from 30 to 100 percent, depending on the results of the UNT and other indicators. A preferential loan for training at 2-3% per annum will also be provided. These measures will make higher education more accessible. The issue of student dormitories was also raised, specific ways of building such facilities were proposed.
All the initiatives of the Head of State are aimed at improving the situation in the country, improving the quality of education. The heads of the country’s universities, as well as the whole society, have something to think about and participate without delay in the implementation of all these instructions.
