A guest lecture of the fintech company Wooppay for students of the Department of «Artificial Intelligence Technologies» was held at KarIU

On October 28, 2021, a guest lecture by representatives of the Kazakh fintech company Wooppay was held on the basis of the Karaganda Industrial University. The lecture was attended by students and teachers of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies, as well as guests of the university – students of Temirtau Higher Polytechnic College, studying in the specialty «Computer Engineering and Software».

Wooppay company specializes in the development and implementation of payment and technological solutions for businesses and government agencies in Kazakhstan. In addition to its main activities, the organization implements projects related to electronic money in the Russian Federation and Kyrgyzstan.

The project manager of Wooppay Abykaev Bertishan, who spoke about the company’s activities, and recruiter Marina Ragozina, who answered students’ questions regarding possible employment in the company after graduation, addressed the students of KarIU.

During the lecture, students learned about the organizational structure of the company, the directions of its activities on the territory of Kazakhstan and other CIS countries, the main achievements during the work.

The guest lecture aroused keen interest among students and teachers, who asked a lot of questions concerning the functioning of products created by Wooppay employees and the requirements imposed by the company on programmers and IT project management managers hired. The students who showed themselves most actively during the lecture received memorable souvenirs from Wooppay representatives.
