On December 2-3 of this year, the management of Karaganda industrial University held an online meeting with students on the issues of holding the winter examination session.

During the meetings, the rector of The University Zhautikov Bakhyt Akhatovich spoke in detail about the format of passing exams in the form of proctoring, which allows you to ensure the correctness of assessment in online mode.

Proctoring is a high-tech procedure, not just a video recording from the screen and desktop. It is based on a smart algorithm that pays attention to changes in student behavior that the teacher may not attach importance to. Therefore, monitoring an online exam using proctoring is better and more effective than monitoring a regular exam in a University classroom.

The proctoring system is used by most of the leading universities in Kazakhstan. Today it is one of the most reliable systems.

More than 100 University students took part in the meetings. With the forced transition to distance learning, our students have a number of pressing questions about the organization and conduct of the examination session. A large number of technical questions were asked, questions about the conduct of exams for nonresident students, the ability to access the Internet and its speed, which can affect the successful passing of exams. The University management assured all students that all technical problems and nuances will be carefully studied and, if necessary, all students will be given the opportunity to take an additional exam or retake it in a timely manner. After all, distance education received by our students today meets all modern trends in the development of our society.
