KARAGANDA INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY HAS ACQUIRED A NEW LABORATORY SETUP

The development of educational technologies and scientific research in Karaganda industrial University that meet the modern requirements of the scientific and educational process dictates the timely need to pay special attention to the modernization and development of material and technical equipment of departments and laboratories of the University.

Currently, our university has a modern material and technical base, which is annually updated and updated with new educational and scientific equipment, computer equipment and other basic means, in accordance with the requirements of educational standards.

At the beginning of the current academic year, the material and technical base of the Department of «Natural Sciences of our University» was replenished. The following new laboratory installations were purchased, such as:

1. Study of the external photo effect.

2. Determination of the shear modulus and moment of inertia of the torsional pendulum.

3. Study of light diffraction.

4. Oberbeck’s Pendulum.

5. Installation for determining the horizontal component of the earth’s magnetic field induction.

6. Determination of the ratio of the heat capacity of air at constant pressure and constant volume.

The laboratory unit for studying the external photoelectric effect FPC-10 is designed for conducting laboratory work on the course «Quantum physics» for engineering and technical specialties. The installation allows you to shoot and study the current-voltage characteristics of solar cells in a wide range of light conditions and evaluate the numerical values of the Planck constant.

The FM-21 laboratory unit is designed for conducting laboratory work on the course «Physics», section «Mechanics» in higher educational institutions. The installation allows you to: determine the moments of inertia of solids using torsional vibrations of a unifilar suspension, determine the theoretical values of the moments of inertia of bodies, and determine the experimental values of the moments of inertia of bodies;

Laboratory installation FPV 05-3 is designed for laboratory work on the course of physics section «Optics» for engineering and technical specialties. Provides an opportunity to study the parameters of the diffraction grating using monochromatic radiation of a semiconductor laser.

Using «Oberbeck pendulum FM-14», the laws of rotational motion are studied: determining the theoretical value of the moment of inertia of the cargo system, determining the experimental value of the moment of inertia of the cargo system, determining the relative error of the obtained values, determining the moment of friction forces acting on the pendulum axis.

The laboratory unit for determining the ratio of heat capacity of air at constant pressure and constant volume FPT-1-6N is designed to study the processes occurring in a gas when determining the ratio of heat capacity by the Clement – Desormat method.

Note that the infrastructure KarIU is fully consistent with the nature of activities, realization of educational programs of higher and postgraduate education on credit technology of training, with the use of innovative information technologies, the use of distance learning technology, conduct scientific research in accordance with modern requirements to the educational process.
