CONGRATULATIONS to the teacher of the Department of metallurgy and materials science Elena Mikhailovna Kharchenko with the award of the degree of doctor of philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 6D070900 – metallurgy.

By order of the Chairman Of the Committee for quality assurance in education and science of the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 163 dated April 23, 2020 “on awarding the degree of doctor of philosophy (PhD)”, the degree of doctor of philosophy (PhD) was awarded in the specialty 6D070900 – metallurgy.

Elena Mikhailovna graduated from Karaganda metallurgical University in 2005 with a degree in “Physical and chemical research of metallurgical processes”.

From 2005 to 2008 she studied at the graduate school of Karaganda state industrial University

In 2013, she defended her PhD thesis on the specialty “metallurgy of technogenic and secondary resources” at the Institute of metallurgy of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Yekaterinburg.

The scope of her research and research interests: “Metallurgy of non-ferrous metals”, “technology of metallurgical processes”, “technology of metallurgical production”, “Theory and technology of pig iron production” and “Fundamentals of scientific research”.

Currently, Elena Mikhailovna is the Director of the Department for academic policy of KSIU and a teacher of the Department of metallurgy and materials science.
