On February 15, 2020, students of the Karaganda State Industrial University took part in a rally dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan and laid flowers at the obelisk for internationalist soldiers.

On February 14, a 2nd year student of KSIU, Aslan Kenesbekov, took part in the city’s Afghan song contest, held at the historical and cultural center of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Patriotic education is one of the priority areas of youth policy. Students’ participation in such events fosters responsibility and respect for the feat of the people.

Any time has its own story, its own memory. The world will never forget the brutal wars that shocked humanity at various times and claimed the lives of millions of people. The feat of heroes – Afghans remains one of the important examples in the patriotic education of the young generation to this day.
