PROFESSOR FROM THE POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY OF CATALONIA MALCOLM CAMPBELL BURNS VISITED KSIU

From 7 to 11 October 2019, Professor Malcolm Campbell Burns from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Spain) arrived in our University within the framework of the program “Erasmus+: international credit mobility” in order to achieve the most favorable conditions for business mutually beneficial international cooperation in research and educational activities with a working visit.

Polytechnic University of Catalonia – one of the elite universities in Spain, a kind of engine of social and economic change. The University is in the top 5% of the most famous and prestigious educational institutions on the planet.

During the week, the administrative and teaching staff of KSIU conducted trainings for the Professor on various topics. The issues of internationalization of Kazakh universities, development of educational programs, prospects of development of higher and postgraduate education, etc. were touched upon. the Professor was acquainted with the culture and traditions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as with the peculiarities of the Kazakh language. In more detail, he studied the scientific and technical base of the university, the quality management system, the educational process, the research work carried out.

As a result of the week of training, agreements were reached on joint participation in the Erasmus+program, publication of joint scientific works, etc., joint work on project works and state budget topics is planned.
