FRESHMAN’S WEEK

One of the most important tasks of any higher education institution is to work with first-year students, aimed at their faster and more successful adaptation to the new system of education, to the new system of social relations, to the development of their new role of students.

Among the many events held at Karaganda state industrial University in the first months of the academic year and aimed at successful adaptation, the “week of the freshman”stands out. The purpose of this event was to involve first-year students in active student life, familiarity with the University, faculty, features of education at the University, living in dormitories.

Freshman week in KSIU is a whole week of events, including new acquaintances, adaptation activities, city tours and visits to museums. The action plan “freshman Week” includes the following events:

– acquaintance of freshmen with curators, faculties, departments and divisions of KSIU; acquaintance with the Charter of the University, internal regulations, the code of honor of the student, etc.

– lessons in the framework of the program “Rouhani ganguro»

– visit to the Museum of KSIU, tour of KSIU: acquaintance of freshmen with the University, its classrooms, library, academic buildings, laboratories, etc.

– meeting with the heads of creative teams and student associations of KSIU

– meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies, the youth resource center of Temirtau, the center for the study of interfaith relations.
