IMG-20171130-WA0022About the fact that by the day of the First President in the city the contest for participation in the Youth Self-Government Day is held, the students of Karaganda State Industrial University learned a month ago. Together with other young people of Temirtau they, of course, decided to try their hand.

The first stage of the selection was writing an essay on the topic “Why should I become an understudy?”

– Each of us chose the position on which he would like to work, – told the third-year student of the KGIU, the future economist Tatiana Silayeva. – Personally, I decided to try myself as an understudy deputy akim on economic issues.

Of the 45 participants, according to the results of the essay contest, thirty students were admitted to testing for knowledge of the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Passed this stage 10 people, who were appointed for a certain time to the positions of akim of the city, his deputies and heads of state institutions. At first the youth got acquainted with the work of the departments, which they were to manage. The main difficulty was that the students say that it was necessary to learn a large amount of new information.

IMG-20171130-WA0018“On November 30, the first thing we solemnly took the oath and received a temporary certificate of a civil servant,” continues Tatyana Silaeva. – Then, during the day, they held meetings, made important decisions, went to various sites. At first glance, the work of a civil servant seems to be simple, but we are convinced of the opposite. This field of activity requires good theoretical preparation, knowledge of the legislation and, of course, the desire to be useful to the native city.

Akim Temirtau on November 30 was student of KSIU Nurislam Sarsenov.

– I think that work in the civil service is very difficult. Even at the stage of preparation for the Youth Self-Government Day, I received a lot of important information – about politics, about the economy, about strategic tasks, – says Nurislam. – The university teachers assisted me in the preparation, the practice was held in the akimat, where together with other participants of the project I got acquainted with the work that awaited us.

IMG-20171130-WA0028The team of akim-doubler included Aygerim Chakenov (zamakima for social issues), Zhanibek Amenov (zamakima for communal issues), Tatyana Silayeva (economical for economic issues), Vasily Kim (head of the internal policy department), Maria Nikolaeva (head of the education department), Ruslan Kudaibergenov (Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Agriculture), Alisher Imanbekov (Head of the Department of Culture and Language Development), Alexey Eckel (Head of Housing, TA, AD, C and GI) and Karina Betger (press secretary of the akim).

His backup and akim of the city, and his deputies supported throughout the day, encouraged, helped by advice. Students with the help of experienced mentors learned to see problems and find quick ways to solve them.

– I think that after this day, each of us made a definite decision. And the majority after the graduation from the University will link their lives with the state service, – said Tatiana Silayeva.
