The representatives of the Fund named after Konrad Adenauer visited Karaganda State industrial University, to talk about their experience in the field of dual education.

At first with guests met the Rector, doctor of technical sciences, Professor Marat Ibatov, who spoke about the more than 50-year history of the University (which used to be called the plant-Vtuz at the Karmetkombinat) and its current activities. Over the years of its work  KSIU became one of the leading universities in training highly qualified personnel for the mining and metallurgical industry. Special pride for the team teacher and students is the fact that a graduated of our university is  the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. Among those who graduated from KSIU, prominent state political figures, heads of large industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan,countries of the near abroad. Today the University provides training for 18 undergraduate majors, 8 mastersdegree programs, two specialities doctorantura PHD. KSIU modern educational and scientific equipment that meets the best international and domestic standards. Here actively carried out research of grant funding and contractual topics, including on the basis established in 2008, the laboratory of engineering profile (electronic nanotechnology). At the University has laboratory facility, equipped with the prevailing industrial metallurgical units and modern scientific equipment produced in Japan, Germany and USA. Constantly growing international cooperation supported creative communications and business relationships with many educational centers of the CIS and far abroad.

Then the guests visited the laboratories, classrooms and museum of the University, a little later spoke to the KSIU and colleges of Temirtau with the report on the dual education system in Germany. Between Kazakhstan and our country is a big difference in this says Tancred Schipanski, you as I found out training plans are developed directly with colleges or universities. And then it is given to the enterprise, where they speak good specialist was or not. We developed a curriculum to those needs which puts us company.  An important task of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in implementing this system you have to place the dialogue between enterprise.

For meaningful conversation the time flew by. There were questions from the audience , and the responses of the guests. We are very pleased to be able to visit you to get acquainted with your projects, including program “Serpin”which trained young people from the southern regions of the country. Kazakhstan is very active in terms of overall organization and standards of educational process. I think your country is on good way.
