Institute of High Technologies and Sustainable Development of the K.I. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University cordially invites you to participate at the research International Symposium “New Concepts in Condensed Matter Physics”.

The Symposium will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, between November 17 and 18, 2014.

Key aim of the Symposium is to foster intellectual exchange among the members of the international condensed matter physics and material science community. On plenary and section sessions of the Symposium we expect to discuss presentations on a broad range of topics, especially, but not limited to, contributions emphasizing the structural, mechanical and thermal properties, electronic structure, electrical, magnetic, and optical properties of condensed matter.

The working languages of the Symposium are Kazakh, Russian and English.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Participants are invited to submit abstract to the Organizing Committee no later than October 20, 2014. All accepted abstracts will be published before the Symposium.

Abstract should be prepared as an MS Word file. The length must not exceed one page of A4 paper (21.0×29.7 cm). The abstract layout is single-spaced, single-column, with top and bottom margins of 2.5 cm, left margin of 3.0 cm, and right margin of 1.5 cm. The font is Times New Roman 12 point. Please do not alter the font or margin size.

Use uppercase characters for abstract title. Include one line space between the title and the name(s) of the author(s). Author names (first name initials and last names) are identified with number superscripts to correspond to author affiliations. Affiliations should be written as institution name, full postal address, country. Include one line space between the affiliations and the body text.

Extended versions of the selected papers presented at the Symposium will be published in a proceedings volume.

The authors are invited to express their intention to participate at the Symposium by filling out and submitting the registration form (Form 1) and the abstract to the Organizing Committee via E-mail simp_ivtur@mail.ru. The Committee will notify the authors of the accepted abstracts and send out the invitation letter (along with the agenda) on October 20, 2014.
