Institute of State History invites you to participate in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «PROBLEMS OF STUDYING THE HISTORY OF KAZAKHSTAN IN THE MAINSTREAM OF THE IDEA OF THE PRESIDENT OF KAZAKHSTAN N.A. NAZARBAYEV «MANGILIK EL»», which will be hеld on the 26^th September, 2014.

Event venue: Institute of State History, 8 Orynbor str., entrance 14, 1st floor, conference room. Astana.

Time: 15.00-18.00

Objectives of the conference:

– discussing the fundamental problems of the country’s history, the key which to understanding the historical process, the role of objective historical factors in the development of the country;

– understanding the condition and tendency of the state, forecasting the socio-economic, political and cultural development of Kazakhstan;

– activating the intellectual potential of the country’s social scientists in the study of the creative processes of occurring society.

There will be a plenary session in the conference, and it will including three sections:

1)        The theoretical and methodological problems in the history of Kazakh statehood;

2)        Kazakhstan’s path of modernization: from strategy to realization;

3)        The participation of young scientists in the study of the history of Kazakh statehood.

Subjects WILL BE discussed:

• The place of Kazakhstan in the world process and the strategic priorities of the state;
• Problems of the theory of the historical process;
• The theoretical and methodological problems in the history of Kazakh statehood;
• Questions of the periodization of domestic history;
• Features of forming and functioning of the political institutions;
• Analysis of the relations between the authorities and society;
• Generalize the experience of the social transformation;
• The economic history of independent Kazakhstan;
• State regulation of the economy;
• The history of foreign policy;
• Kazakhstan in the regional integration;
• Kazakhstan’s path of stability and social cohesion;
• The history of culture and religion;
• Ethno-cultural interactions of Eurasia;
• «Mangilik El» is the national idea of Kazakhstan;
• Historical and cultural heritage and spiritual values of Kazakhstan;
• Man in the history and the history of everyday life.

Official languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.

Publication of the collection of conference materials are planning.

The organizing committee doesn’t responsible for the cost of participating in the conference (travel, accommodation, meals).

The organizing committee reserves the right to reject the articles which do not meet the subject and the format requirements of the conference.

FORMAT REQUIREMENTS OF THE ARTICLE

Total volume should be 6 pages max., in the format MS Word (*.doc или rtf), file’s name and the individual files should be named as the author’s name. The Tables, charts, figures must have a title and be typed by Windows as well. The format of pages: А4. All fields – 2 см. Font: Times New Roman, pt – 14.  Line Spacing – single. Indent lines: 1 см.

Title of the article: at the top, centered in capital, letters in bold.

The name of author (s) should be under the title of the article and in the middle of the page with lowercase letters.

Below – academic degree, position, the full name of the institution where the author works, country, e-mail. The text of the article should be through 1 interval after the indentation.

List of literature should be at the end of the text. References in the text should be in the square brackets in the form of the corresponding number which in the list of literature indicated the source of the page – for example: [5, 3]. References in the text of article should be formed as mentioned before.
