The Grant program on technology commercialization for 2014 is announced by “TCC” LLP. The period for submitting applications is from September 16 to October 15, 2014.

The Aim of the Grant Program – to identify the commercial viability of applicants’ ideas, to finance proposals for technology licensing, to organize start -up companies and/or to sell high-tech products taking into account best world’s practices.

There are 2 types of grants in the Grant Program:

• Proof Of Concept (development of technical documentation and its certification and so on) – the sum can be up to 22 mln. tenge and the time period is up to 6 months;
• Development of an industrial product sample (transitioning to an field trial -industrial level or small-scale production level) – the sum can be up to 74 mln. tenge and the time period is up to 12 months.

The peculiarity of this program is the system of practical support of grantees by the “TCC” staff. Each project will have fixed specialists of a Kazakhstan-American team of technology promotion on the markets.

Priority directions:

1. Rational use of natural resources, processing of raw materials and products;

2. Energy and engineering;

3. Informational and telecommunication technologies;

4. Life sciences
