Rule for using the library

1. Reader Rights

The reader has the right to:

• use the main types of library and bibliographic and information services provided by the Scientific Library;

• get full information about the composition of the Scientific Library’sfunds and advice on finding and selecting information sources;

• receive temporary documents for home use or for use in the reading room;

• participate in events held by the Scientific Library;

• contact the SL administration with various requests and suggestions.

2. Reader’s responsibilities

Comply with these terms of use of the SL:

• take care of the documents received from the SL Fund and return them within the established period;

• when receiving documents, review each publication and, if any defects are found, report them to the SL employee; the reader who used them last is responsible for damage to the documents;

• annually at the beginning of the school year, pass re-registration with the presentation of all documents registered for it; readers who have not passed re-registration are not served;

• upon leaving the university, return all documents registered with the Scientific Library, hand over the reader’s card, and sign a bypass list;

• the reader should not spoil library publications (make notes in them, underline, pull out sheets, etc.) ;

• in case of loss or damage of documents, replace them with documents recognized by the Scientific Libraryas equivalent in content and price;

• reimburse the cost of the lost publication if it is impossible to replace it with an equivalent value;

• do not remove cards from catalogs and card files;

• take care of the property of the Scientific Library(computer equipment, furniture, etc.).)

• observe silence and order when visiting the SL and maintain correct relationships with other readers and employees.

3. The reader is not allowed

• remove documents from the SL premises if they are not recorded in the reader’s form;

• perform various types of work on PCs installed in the SL without permission;

• enter the SL premises in outdoor clothing.

4. Rights and obligations of the SL

The SL ensures the implementation of the rights of readers in its activities. The SL must:

• form your funds in accordance with the profile of the university;

• provide readers with access to all SL funds on paper, electronic, audio, video, and other media;

• provide readers with complete information about the composition of library collections through the catalog system and other forms of library information;

• provide advice to readers in finding and selecting information sources, and improve their information culture;

• record, store and use documents held in the Scientific Library’s funds;

• be responsible for the safety of your funds;

• conduct humanitarian and educational work that helps readers develop a high level of spirituality and morality, a broad scientific outlook, creative thinking and the ability to further self-education;

• create and maintain comfortable working conditions for readers in the library.

5. How to write reader

When writing to the SL, the reader is directly acquainted with these rules in accordance with the established procedure:

• every year, at the beginning of the school year, the SL re-registers readers, and a reader form is created for new readers;

• the reader’s form is only valid with a 3×4 photo of the reader;

• students, undergraduates and postgraduates are enrolled in the Scientific Libraryon the basis of enrollment orders;

• teachers and employees must submit a certificate from the University’s human resources department to register with the SL;

• third-party readers are not served in the SL;

6. Rules for using the subscription

On a subscription, publications are issued at home for the following periods:

• educational publications-for students, undergraduates – for a semester or academic year in accordance with the curriculum and programs;

• for teachers, postgraduates – for an academic year (no more than 15 copies);

• at the end of the school year, readers hand over all available literature to the library, while teachers can take educational literature to work in the summer, but no more than 5 copies;

• educational publications with insufficient copies are issued for a “short-term subscription” (from 10 to 30 days);

• scientific publications are issued for 20 days up to 5 copies-to all categories of readers;

• no more than 2 volumes are issued simultaneously from multi-volume publications;

• the period of use of scientific and artistic publications can be extended if there is no demand for them from other readers (or reduced if the publication is in high demand);

• upon receipt of the publications the reader is obliged to put the date and sign for each instance in the book forms;

• part-time students are provided with publications on the subscription only during the session;

• when leaving the university, sign a bypass list on the subscription and in the reading room;

• teachers and staff of the university are required at the end of the academic year, i.e. until July 1, to lease or to extend the use of (but not more than 5 copies) all library books to leaf control of no debt and rent it estimated the accounting department before the release in the next vacation;

• after passing the control sheet, teachers and staff can take the necessary literature for the summer holidays.

7. Rules for using the library’s reading room

• the number of publications issued simultaneously in the reading room should not exceed 7 copies;

• books are not issued at home from the reading room;

• documents for use on the independent work of students with teachers are issued from the reading room under the responsibility of the teacher for one day.

8. Rules for using the periodical hall

• when you first visit the reader, the reader card is started;

• the number of publications issued simultaneously in the periodical hall must not exceed 10 copies;

• periodicals (magazines and newspapers) are not issued at home;

• documents for copying are issued from the periodical hall under the responsibility of the reader for one hour.

9. Responsibility of readers for violations of the SL terms of use

• readers who systematically or grossly violate these rules may be deprived of the right to use the SL for a period of a month or more;

• information about gross violations of these rules by readers is passed to the deaneries for consideration.
