Reception of foreign citizens
CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE UNDERGRADUATE
Admission of foreign citizens to study at the KSIU undergraduate education on a paid basis is carried out based on the results of the interview conducted by the Admissions Committee during the calendar year. In this case, the enrollment of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the academic calendar 5 (five) days before the start of the next academic period.
Persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan have the right to participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant based on the results of the Unified National Testing (UNT).
Persons entering the undergraduate submit the following documents to the Admissions Committee of KSIU:
1) a statement of the established form addressed to the head of the organization;
2) a document on general secondary, technical and vocational, post-secondary or higher education (original);
3) a notarized copy of an identity document with a translation;
4) six photographs measuring 3×4 centimeters;
5) a medical certificate in the form of 086-U;
6) a UNT certificate (if available, for persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have passed the UNT in a calendar year);
7) certificate on the award of an educational grant (if available, for persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who have passed UNT in a calendar year).
Documents in a foreign language are provided with a notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian.
CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS FOR ENTRY IN THE MAGISTRACY
Education of foreigners in the magistracy of KSIU is carried out on a paid basis. The receipt by foreigners on a competitive basis in accordance with the state educational order of free postgraduate education is determined by international treaties of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exception of the scholarship program for master’s programs.
Admission of foreign citizens to study at the KSIU magistracy on a paid basis is carried out according to the results of an interview conducted by the selection committee of KGIU during the calendar year. Enrollment of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the academic calendar 5 (five) days before the start of the next academic period.
Documents on education issued by foreign educational organizations are nostrified in the manner prescribed by law.
Persons who have mastered the educational programs of higher education are admitted to the magistracy
Persons entering the magistracy submit the following documents to the Admissions Committee of KSIU:
1) a statement of the established form addressed to the head of the organization;
2) a document on higher education (original);
3) certificate of nostrification of a document on higher education (for diplomas issued by foreign educational organizations);
4) a notarized copy of an identity document with a translation;
5) six photographs measuring 3×4 centimeters;
6) medical certificate form 086-U;
7) a copy of the certificate of passing the test for the following programs (if available):

Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Program (Internet Test Base) Test Internet-based Test (TOEFL IBT (TOIFL AIBITI), threshold score – at least 46),
Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper-based testing (TOEFL PBT) threshold score – not less than 453,

German: Deutsche Sprachpruefung für den Hochschulzugang (Deutsche Schprahprufun Führ Dein Hochschulzugan) (DSH, Niveau C1 / Level C1), TestDaF-Prufung (Testdaf-Profoon) (Niveau C1 / Level C1);
French: Test de Franzais International ™ -Test de France Internacional (TFI (TFI) – not lower than level B1 in reading and listening sections), Diplome d’Etudes en Langue françise – Diploma of children en Lang française (DELF (DELF), level B2), Diplome Approfondi de Langue françise – Diploma Approfondi de Lang Francaise (DALF (DALF), level C1), Test de connaissance du français – Test de connaissance du français (TCF (TSF) – at least 400 points).
Together with copies of the documents referred to in this paragraph, their originals are provided for verification carried out in the presence of the applicant. After reconciliation, the original documents are returned.
When providing an incomplete list of documents, the selection committee does not accept documents from applicants.
CRITERIA AND CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION TO THE DOCTORANCY
Education of foreigners in doctoral studies at KSIU is carried out on a paid basis.
The admission of foreign citizens to doctoral studies at KSIU on a paid basis is carried out based on the results of the interview conducted by the selection committee during the calendar year. Enrollment of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the academic calendar 5 (five) days before the start of the next academic period.
Persons with a master’s degree are admitted to doctoral studies.
Persons entering a doctoral program submit the following documents to the admittion committee of KSIU:
1) application (in any form);
2) a notarized copy of an identity document with a translation;
3) education certificate – original (master’s degree);
4) an international certificate confirming knowledge of a foreign language in accordance with the pan-European competencies (standards) of knowledge of a foreign language;
5) medical certificate form 086-U;
6) six photographs measuring 3×4 centimeters;
7) a personal sheet for personnel records or another document confirming labor activity, certified by the personnel service at the place of work;
8) a list of scientific and scientific-methodological works ;
Together with copies of the documents referred to in this paragraph, their originals are provided for verification. After reconciliation, the originals are returned.
Applicants to doctoral programs provide international certificates confirming knowledge of a foreign language in accordance with the pan-European competencies (standards) of knowledge of a foreign language:

Test of English as a Foreign Language Institutional Testing Programm (TOIFL) threshold score – not less than 475 points), Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper-based testing (TOEFL PBT) threshold score – not less than 477, Test of English as a Foreign Language Paper-delivered testing (TOEFL PDT) – threshold score – not less than 477, International English Language Tests System with (IELTS ), the threshold point – not less than 4.5);

Admission to doctoral studies is carried out on the basis of an international certificate confirming knowledge of a foreign language and based on the results of the interview, and the results of the interview.

AVAILABILITY OF GRANTS AND DISCOUNTS
Persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan have the right to participate in the competition for the award of an educational grant based on the results of the Unified National Testing (UNT).
Persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan also have the right to participate in the competition for the award of a grant for free education at the preparatory department. The purpose of this department is the adaptation of foreign citizens to life in Kazakhstan, preparation for their admission to universities of Kazakhstan, in-depth study of Kazakh and Russian languages.
A dormitory is provided for all nonresident PhD students of KSIU.
